We did a private tour of PV, mainly in the old town. Our guide Eric had a great knowledge and many interesting facts. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the old town area. Superb!

This was my first trip back to Puerto Vallarta since I was in middle school, and it was my boyfriend's first time ever so I was looking for something to do on our first day that would help us get our bearings, the Walking Tour stood out from some other options.
We got to the Estigo Tours office about 10 minutes late but thankfully we were the only two scheduled for the tour so not only was our tardiness okay, but we got to have a slightly different tour than the one described. Our guide, Brian, was a friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed guide who really customized our experience towards what he thought we would enjoy after getting to know us a bit.
We did a lot of walking! About 13,000 steps according to our phone's pedometer. We stopped at a few places to shop along the way, including a candy store where we tried delicious candies, nuts, and even some drinks. Brian paced our walking/stopping so well I almost didn't feel how many steps we did (I wasn't tired even though I am not an active person). Instead of paletas (as we've had those before) we opted for Brian's recommendation, La Tuba, one of the most delicious drinks we've ever had (it's made of coconut cream and apple vinegar, with small pieces of apple and walnuts). We also were sent a ton of pictures Brian took along the way (both formal and informal shots). Overall, Estigo Tours is a wonderful and professional place with fantastic staff who made us feel very welcome. Thanks to Naomi at the front desk for her kindness and care, and thanks to Brian for his very friendly tour of Puerto Vallarta.

After reading reviews of PV city bus tours we decided we'd much prefer a walking tour. This was the way to go, at a leisurely pace. We met our guide Aletha at the Estigo office and to our surprise were the only guests for that day. We started with a beautiful walk along the Malecon, stopping at local artist shops, viewing the sculptures on the ocean front with the history of them from Aletha, lots of time for photo ops. We then wandered through a flea market in Gringo Gulch and stopped at a delicious candy shop where we were treated to many samples. After walking across the two suspension bridges into the Romantic Zone we watched a tortilla factory at work and sampled a hot off the press tortilla. Next stop was for a taco lunch at a street booth then because it was just the two of us we chose a bit of a different route. We checked out two farmers markets, one being the Saturday market, back to the shore and Los Muertos beach then took the bus back to the Estigo office. We didn't follow the exact route as mentioned in the tour description since it was just us two but we saw all we had hoped to see and have a list of places to return to. And thanks to Aletha's recommendation we enjoyed an al Pastor for supper last night!

Hola Laurel,
Thank you for reviewing your experience with Estigo Tours while in Puerto Vallarta. We are very happy to know for you this was the " way to go " when visiting our beautiful town. There are many hidden places and different areas in town to see and thats exactly what this tour does. Our guests not only learn about the town and local restaurants but also take advantage to go back and visit later some of the good eateries just like you did. Thank you again and we hope to see you back in Puerto Vallarta in a near future.
Gracias!

My fiancé and I chose the Coast and Jungle ATV tour and had a great time. We were staying at the Sheraton in North downtown so we only had about an 8 minute walk to the Estigo Tours shop. We rode on one ATV while the guide and the two other guys in our tour each had their own. This tour is 70% road and 30% off-road. Our guide took pictures and video the whole time and they were emailed to us within a day at no extra charge!
We started out riding through downtown Puerto Vallarta then into the romantic district. We took a highway out to a dirt road which led to the site where the movie Predator was filmed. We had a chance to swim in the water there but that morning was a bit chilly so we decided against it. On our way up to and back from that site we passed through a residential area that we enjoyed seeing. We got back on the highway and stopped to take pictures at Los Arcos, which was beautiful. Our guide was very willing to take pictures of us on our phone as well as on his camera. We stopped at a couple other lookout spots before arriving at an authentic Mexican fishing village. We all sat down and ate at a restaurant there. We had an amazing view of the water and the locals that were loading up and transporting goods via boat. The food was good and cheap. We had fajitas, a coke each and nachos. The bill and tip came to about $15 USD or 300 pesos. We headed back to PV via the highway. We really got to open it up as we were on the highway with cars as well. Our guide and the guys at the Estigo Tours place were very gracious. They were waiting with wet towels to wipe ourselves down when we arrived. We would absolutely recommend this trip and go back again. This is a must do excursion in PV for those who want to see great sights, remote locations, and a bit of an adrenaline rush.

Vacations are suppose to be laid back and enjoyable, yet fun! From the initial booking to the very end of our tour we never felt stressed. By far, one of the hidden gems "to do" in Puerto Vallarta if you have 4-5 hours to spend. I recommend this experience for singles to families and even groups. Everyone will have fun!! One can expect to ride, sightsee, walk/explore, swim (if you choose), eat local food, buy souvenirs (if you choose), take pictures (bring along a camera or just ride and chillax. Our guide, Waldo was the very, very best! He's attentive and helpful to all your needs. I am a dad with both boys and girls and my wife and I agree that if our older daughter wanted to ever do this same adventure again we would have absolutely no problem with her going on her own without us. It's that comfortable and safe. We had our kids ranging from 20 yrs, 17 yrs and 7 yrs along with us this time. Bring along Pesos (for lunch and souvenirs), sun glasses, swim suit, closed toed shoes/water sandals, bug spray/sunscreen (we did but, did not need it) and a towel to dry off (we did but, did not use it...we air dried during the ride). And, yes...be a gentleman/lady and please tip your guide at the end. Enjoy!!

This was easily a highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. The company and its owners Gustavo and Bret are the definition of customer service and care. Incredibly professional from instructions on using the ATVs to recommendations on other things to do in PV. We did the lengthy trip through El Tuito to the petroglyphs and it was so beautiful and almost magical. We had a late morning stop at the Hacienda El Divisadero, a working ranch with the most beautiful setting, where we had a mid-morning snack of fruit, tortillas, cheese and Mexican coffee and chocolate. We had a demonstration of how they make a local cheese and then took a short walk down to the distillery area where they make the Raicilla. From there we ATVed up to the petroglyphs and a beautiful little river/stream there. Then back to the Hacienda for the main meal and then a reluctant return to the greater civilization! Our guide was Waldo who was incredible and as others note, he took photos the entire time that were then forwarded to us so we have those great memories. It was also just great to have time to talk with Waldo and learn more about his life. If you can take the time for this tour, I highly and emphatically recommend it. One of the best tours I've ever been on.

As newlyweds and Puerto Vallarta first timers, we were looking for something different than the tour bus trips. Not to mention, it was just awesome to ride a quad on the streets as I did when I was a kid (but it's legal here). I found Estigo online via a search to rent scooters and ATVs. It was a short walk to their business, which is a great location.
We rented a scooter the first day and were referred to the Botanical Gardens. AMAZING views! We liked the scooter so much that we set up a guided tour on an ATV as well. We took the coast/jungle tour, which brought us to the Predator movie set and checked out a lot of the local places to visit. Awesome trip!
The third day of renting, we decided to take an ATV and explore on our own. We were referred to a zip line company just about 30 minutes from Estigo's shop. By this time, I was familiar with the roads and where we were heading, thanks to the previous guided tour. We arrived at the zip line adventure and were amazed.
The guys were extremely nice and even though they didn't want me to mention it, they gave us a honeymoon surprise. Job well done.....we will definitely rent scooters and ATV's from them if we decide on another Puerto Vallarta vacation.
And Gonzalo, our offer to run the business if you take a vacation still stands. :)
Thank You,
Robert and Amanda

I found this rental shop while walking around Puerto Vallarta. I checked other shops before booking a day tour with Estigo and they were by far the most fun and professional. They genuinely wanted you to have a good time and weren't only in it for the money. I signed up to go with my mom and sister and even though they got sick, the man working (Gonzalo) agreed to take me anyway and even partially refund the others (you wouldn't find that anywhere else seeing they have to reserve the ATV's in advance). He customized the tour just for me and suggested lots to do and there was no set plan which was gave me/us a lot of freedom. He was fine with stopping anywhere to eat, shop or just explore. It didn't even feel like a tour, it felt like exploring the Mexican coast with a local friend. It was completely worth it and definitely recommended, I had so much fun and felt like I truly got to see what Puerto Vallarta had to offer and would have missed out on so much if it wasn't for this tour. Wish I had found it earlier during my trip for other tours!

Hola.. Most all vendors will take US Dollars here in Puerto Vallarta. However, the exchange rate that they give you varies from vendor to vendor and never in your favor. We recommend using the ATMs inside one of the major Banks here. The rates at these machines are always better than the exchange houses or shops.

We will be visiting via cruise ship. Can this tour accommodate cruise passengers on a six hour available window?

For a cruise ship passenger with 6 hours in port, you would have enough time to do this walking tour. At the end of the tour we would help you find a taxi and send you back to your ship/
