Very professional, kids loved it
We had the lovely Alice as our guide for the day. She was very knowledgeable and great with our kids. We loved learning about the plants in the garden and harvesting our own mushrooms. The cooking class is well paced with breaks to eat your creations while the team sets up the next round. I had meat-free options while the rest of the family enjoyed pork, shrimp and chicken. I really appreciated how Alice didn't talk down to the kids and had them doing all the same work, only jumping in when they were clearly frustrated or there was hot oil involved. The Cu Chi tour was also very well organized and very interesting. The kids loved it. It was nice (and hot) to go in the afternoon as I think crowds come in the morning. Overall, very organized, fun and great for kids who are into cooking and history.

Great day cooking and exploring the tunnels!

We had a nice day at the Ho Chi Minh Cooking class and Cu Chi Tunnels with chef Tien. It’s a bit of a drive to the farm where the class takes place, but it’s a great location for cooking! You start by walking around the garden picking the fresh herbs and ingredients you’ll use in the dishes. We made 1 appetizer, 2 main courses, and a dessert, and learned about not just the steps to make these dishes but the strategies used, so we can apply them when we are cooking by ourselves. It was fun and relaxed and very informative, and the food tasted great. After the class, we drove to the Cu Chi Tunnels (which are nearby the cooking school - that’s why they are paired together like this) and Tien gave us a private tour. We had a good time there as well going in the tunnels and learning about the different traps used against American soldiers during the war. Thank you Tien!

Amazing Day
Amazing day. Alice was our tour guide and she was so sweet and incredibly informative! We started the day off with a cooking class, getting to pick our own ingredients while Alice explained the facts of everything we picked- my favorite part of it all. Then we got to cook with all the fresh ingredients we made, super delicious and fresh! After this we went to the Cu Chi tunnels and got to experience some history from the Vietnam War. Truly a lovely experience. Thanks for everything Alice!!!

Tasty and super good cooking class combined with some history (cu chi)

The cooking class was wonderful. Learning something about the plants and harvesting them for your meal is really nice. Our guide Alice was nice and always open to answer every question. She was not only teaching our 3 course cooked meal but also guided us through the Cu CHI tunnels which made this trip perfect.

Nice day at the cooking class and the cu chi tunnels with great guide
The cooking class was interesting and fun. The dishes were simple but delicious. After cooking (and eating) I went to the cu chi tunnels with my guide. Here you get an informative insight into how the vietnamese/American war was for the people. Since I went to the war museum in HCMC the day before, it was an interesting way of learning about this period in a more direct and practical way after seeing the pictures in the war museum. My guide Alice was very informative both in cooking class and in the cu chi tunnels.

We have had a really fun day with this tour. Hong is a great chef with a lot of knowledge about the Vietnamese cuisine. She was really enthousiastic and supported us to pick our own herbs and vegetables from the garden. Huy was our guide for the tunnels. He was also great and told us a lot of interesting stuff about the Vietnamese war.

Lots of fun
We really enjoyed the cooking class today! It was great to learn about all the different uses for the produce we were cooking with. The dishes are easy enough for us to recreate at home and are delicious!

So good that I want to do it again!

My husband and I booked a flight to Ho Chi Minh city specifically for this experience. So, you can imagine our expectations were quite high ;) Luckily, our guide and chef Huy managed to exceed all of them. The day was intense but we didn’t feel rushed at any point. The cooking class was 100% hands on (which is a big advantage compared to other cooking classes we attended), and the food was simply delicious.
After lunch we went to visit the Cu Chi tunnels where we learned a lot about the creativity of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. And yet again, Huy proved to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Our overall rating is 10 out of 5! We strongly recommend joining these guys in the future!

Mötte upp oss på hotellet, sedan rundvandring i trädgården där de visade vad som odlades och vad det var bra för sedan matlagning, introduktionen i det vietnamesiska kökets grundstenar, vi lagade tre rätter och en dessert. Sedan tunnlarna med dess historia otroligt intressant
