My wife and I did this expedition in late October of 2024 and it was absolutely incredible. From start to finish, everything was perfect.
I initially considered renting a 4x4 and driving the road myself. After taking the tour, I'm glad I let the professionals handle it. If you are not an experienced off-road driver, don't do it. Spend your time enjoying the ride and taking in the sights instead.
Our guide Seth was friendly, a responsible and highly capable driver, incredibly knowledgeable about the area, a great conversationalist, and more than willing to take as many photos as we might request (hint: It was more than a few!).
You will see so much on this tour and the day will just blow by. Some examples:
1. Petroglyphs
2. Jug Handle Arch
3. Thelma & Louise Point
4. Musselman Arch
5. Lathrop Canyon
6. White Rim Road
7. Shafer Trail Road
There is SO much to see here, and all of it is beautiful. We took literally hundreds of photos. We even got lucky enough to run into a small group of Bighorn Sheep grazing just beside the road.
Even the lunch was fantastic. We had a chicken wrap, which was cold and delicious, along with fruit and a small dessert, next to the Colorado River in Lathrop Canyon.
Navtec is very mindful of safety and the needs of passengers. There were plenty of bathroom breaks, and snacks and water were readily available at all times. Our guide Seth was trained in remote medical emergency procedures, and the 4x4 was equipped with spare tire, medical kit and other emergency supplies should we need them (we didn't).
We wrapped up the day with a drive up the Shafer Trail Road. You can see this road from the top down at the Canyonlands visitor center. It was a completely different experience driving up it.
This tour was unquestionably a highlight of our trip to Arches and Canyonlands (and we had a LOT of great experiences). Navtec was highly professional and our guide Seth was exceptional. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Excellent tour. Our guide, Ben, was knowledgable and made the trip memorable by providing insights about the history, inhabitants, and geology along the way. The views along the way were spectacular and the route went through the back country where only a few can go. The 4x4 was comfortable and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated given the hot temps while we were there. Definitely worth the money.

This whole tour was Amazing ! We went as a family for a day long jeep tour of Canyonlands Nationale Park (White Rim more precisely). The views were outstanding, we were shown the most beautiful unbelievable places ! And our guide Matt (if I recall it right) was the coolest, he truly loved his job and knew a whole lot about the place, it added much fun to this tour ! Would a 100% recommend and would put a 6 stars review if I could.

Blaine was our guide. He is a historian. He had great historical stories and facts throughout the ride. His talk on the petroglyphs was so informative. He gave us insight into what the people were trying to communicate. The ride in 4x4 was safe. The views of Canyon land were phenomenal Highly recommend this trip and company

We did the full day with half rafting down the Colorado river and the other half was 4wd up the canyons. We did a family trip with 8 of us. Brian, cole, Matt and David were awesome!

We had THE most fabulous day of discovery doing this adventure.
The scenery was stunning; lunch was freshly made and delicious; and Joe our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, enthusiastic and an all round top chap - as was his partner in our adventure, Blaine.
We felt informed, valued and safe in his hands all day.
Thanks Joe for giving us a trip we'll never forget!

This trip let you see views of Canyonlands that you wouldn’t see otherwise and only very experienced drivers should be on White Rim. Matt was knowledgeable and shared information about the park and geology IF we asked. But, he did not give much info otherwise. On our way out, we didn’t stop because Matt said we’d stop at places on the way back. It made the drive out rather long. A LOT of the reviews mentioned lunching right by the river, which would have been nice. We lunched no where near it on the side of the road in hot sun. The lunch was good and filling and Matt had lots of water. But bring your own water bottle to fill!! Concerning “hikes” we did 1 very minor walk up a wash out. Other than that, nothing but a few stops for scenic views. Matt mentioned he sometimes had people who didn’t even want to get out of the truck and maybe assumed our group was that? He should have asked if we wanted more hiking since all 4 of us did and it was very obvious from conversation we all often hiked. On the way back, it didn’t seem like we did the stops he had passed on the way out. Except for seeing some spectacular views from the white rim, some other reviewers seem to have had a more complete experience. For the good news, the Schaefer trail and views were great and Matt took us out of the park down a very narrow road down to the river that was very fun! So, I’d say it was a good tour for views but Matt needs to have the trip flow better, make stops up and back, find a better lunch spot and understand better what kind of experience his clients are looking for (eg hiking vs sitting in a truck).

The tour took us up the side of the canyon and afforded us breathtaking views of the Colorado River basin. There’s no way you could ever get these views of the canyon from the paved roads available to regular cars. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable and an excellent driver. Always felt safe even on some very rough and narrow parts of the trail. This tour was worth every penny!

Dave was our guide for the day and he was great!!!! We did the whole day white rim trail with lunch by the Colorado river. Wow how beautiful canyonlands is to see this way. Definitely book this tour and be able to see the beautiful landscape and formations and arches that not everyone gets to experience!!!!!

Are these tours relatively calm? We are not interested in having a tour guide intent on scaring the hell out of everyone in the vehicle.

How many in one vehicle? Are you packed in tightly? Most of the poorer reviews have to do with the ride. We have 5 adults.

We have national park passes. Do we still need to pay park entrance fees

I see the full day 4x4 tour picks up at 8:00 am. What time does it drop off at the end of the day?

I thought that the White Rim Trail was a 100 mile loop trail at the botton of Canyonlands NP. In your promo lit you mention taking the 30 mile White Rim Trail to Canyonlands. What/where is the White Rim Trail? Does this tour get to the bottom of the park - what you see when at a vista point from the Island in the Sky.
