Jared, our tour guide, was fantastic. Apart from having detailed knowledge of the city’s history and landmarks, he had a great sense of humor and made learning about the city fun by engaging the group and asking for questions. He was considerate in many respects, especially by planning ahead for restroom breaks and giving food recommendations.
In short, this tour started at 30 Rock with a short walking tour of the area and St. Patrick’s Cathedral nearby. Then we boarded the bus and went south, exploring many of the city’s neighborhoods before ending up at Battery Park for a ferry ride, which was my family’s highlight. We then visited the 9/11 Memorial before bussing back to Strawberry Fields at Central Park. We were dropped off in Times Square.
One thing to note, the lunch break is unfortunately scheduled after the ferry’s arrival at Staten Island, which has very limited food options, primarily sandwiches and some fast food like Dairy Queen. It’s like having lunch at a smelly bus station, unless you elect to eat on the return ferry ride like my family did. We would have preferred some local pizza or hot dogs on Manhattan rather than this arrangement, but it isn’t enough of a gripe to warrant a star deduction since the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
The unsung hero of the Trip was our coach operator, Mejia. How he skillfully navigated the chaotic streets of Manhattan and provided a comfortable ride while keeping the tour on time was very impressive.
We would do this tour again. Thanks you Jared and Mejia.

Our experience with this tour group was great.. Our guide Ray R was very informative and knew his historical facts well. If you need a tour in New York this is the one to take!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Jorge T., was very knowledgeable, and he was a wonderful story-teller. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to explore NYC with their family or by themselves.

Great tour guides make great tours, & Jorge was excellent. His knowledge & love for the city shone through & brought it to life. In addition he was a treasure trove of advice on everything NY related, from best viewpoint to good cheap food.

Highlights of Manhattan Bus Tour. What a fantastic tour and guide (Ray R). Our group had a great time seeing the sights and learning lots of history. Transportation was by bus, ferry and on foot. There was never a dull moment and our guide had a great sense of humor. This tour covered more than we could have ever managed ourselves.

Excellent insight into the diverse living and neighborhoods and surrounding areas of this fantastic city. Expertly led by Jorge the 5 boroughs coach your is a must. Would recommend going on this 6-7 hour excursion. Numerous stops and chances to get the all important photos-he really does know the best places to get the best shots!

I booked for my granddaughter and a friend for Sept 12 through Viator and at a late hour before the confirmed tour, we received a message that the tour is cancelled because there was no bus available. How can a bus tour cancel a tour because there is no bus available! We were given an alternative but the one offered does not serve our purpose because it includes where I live. Then we were asked for another date but my granddaughter has no more available date. We indicated this to the tour staff who we talked to. The solution, through Viator, was booking another tour but it cost us more.
Yes, I read the good reviews but our experience was really a bummer. Again, how can a bus tour be advertised and then there's no bus available!
I have confidence on Viator because I used it in my travels abroad but this one really took away one star from them.
