Brilliant day out. Great prices for what is there. Lots of animals to see, that not a lot of other zoo’s have. Great size enclosures for the animals and all animals looked great. Look forward to seeing all the animals, when the new enclosures are finished.

Fantastic little zoo park. Nice to see unusual animals, Animals are well cared for. Good to see more animal in closures being built, modified and improved. We need to keep indanged born in captivaty species in zoos for there own protection from humans for the future.

It's hard for little zoos especially after covid lockdowns so need to bare this In mind and support such places in helping them educate and inform visitors on the plight of animals and creatures on our planet.

Great place to visit. Lots of unusual animals as well as four tigers.

The Syrian brown bear enclosure which holds 3 bears is really big with a great sized pond (the reviewer giving a low star rating and describing it as ‘all metal’ has simply missed the large open field with trees and the pond that is next to and complements the enclosed play / secure area). The bears can come and go between all their areas so wander back to them if they are not there first time. The tigers also have a good sized open area which allows viewing from inside their ‘hill’. Tigers are rotated into their areas and can also be seen inside. These are the smaller Malayan tiger and two are white. Maned wolves and dingos are also featured.

The zoo has cheetahs but they are not easy to see as their enclosures are not on the pathway round the zoo. Did see them all today though as they were right near the front of their enclosures. But the zoo prides itself on their welfare and the breeding programme not if you can see them. Which is nice to see.

The emphasis at the zoo is animals are on show if they please - so be prepared to be patient and come back a couple of times.

This isn’t a performing circus.

This is a zoo that really benefits from multiple visits. Have an annual pass and that allows for some really good sightings of the animals that are hardest to spot.

It’s a comparatively small zoo but it is rarely crowded. There’s a big kids play area well away from the animals.

Other smaller animals include rare cats from South America and Australia, tayra, Binturong (one of which have had babies recently), various lemurs and lots of unusual / rare birds (cassowary have just bred), owls etc as well as raccoons. They also have camels, zebra, large donkeys and farm animals. The usual zoo suspects of meerkats and otters are also well housed.

This late in the year is a great time to see the animals being active particularly as it gets towards closing time. The keepers and staff are always friendly.

There’s lots being built with new exhibits for skunks coming soon. There are some constructions going on but that just shows the zoo has investment and new animals coming which is good news.

Facilities are good with a free car park, small cafe and the cleanest toilets of any zoo you’ll ever visit!

I arranged to take my daughter for a special treat as she had a week off work and needed to go to some interesting places. This unfortunately was not one of them.
There were so many enclosures which were empty with coming soon notices. The whole place looked tired and the shrubbery and trees were minimal even in the animal enclosures. Like most zoos the animals tend to be out of sight and not helped by the fact that they seem to have so few of any one species. I think I saw one Tiger, two bears and 3 camels and two donkeys. Many were in enclosures and unable to get outside. The bear enclosure was a wire and metal affair which reminded me of a prison camp. Not one of the pool areas was clean and there was not a single Flaming in the the pond presumably because it was so uninviting.

Simple remedy split ground into 5 areas have only 4 species and pets corner

What a lovely day! We came specifically to see the wombats, and we weren't disappointed; but, even though we are already season ticket holders of a much larger zoo, we saw animals we didn't know existed.
This is not the place to go to see big animals such as lions, giraffes and elephants - although the tigers are stunning. But this is still a great zoo. We saw busy binturong and sloths, stunning owls, a beautiful little corsac foxes, many wallabies, camels, a very active bear, a white tiger, dingoes and so much more.
We were very impressed with all the covid signage, the one way systems and the many sanitising stations. Very carefully thought out.
There are lots of picnic tables across the park, and a lovely playground. Perfect for a picnic. We didn't visit the cafe, but did go to the small souvenir shop before we left.
A lovely zoo, a little gem hiding behind a rather drab entrance. Well worth a visit.

A fantastic Place to Visit. Good price considering the vast amount of Animals & the size of the Park. Animals are all well cared for, plenty of different Species from Harvest Mouse to Syrian Bear. Good play area for the Children (even tho, mine are 26 they had fun on the Bigger items !! ) Great little Cafe, plenty of spaces to have Picnics.

Lovely small zoo with really interesting animals. Perfect for our 16 month old grandaughter as every enclosure has a pushchair-level window. All the animals and birds were very happy and relaxed, everywhere clean and well-maintained.

It was ok. The tigers, lemurs and monkeys were interesting. A few empty cages. The kids enjoyed the outdoor play area. I would advise you to take a picnic because the cafe is not great and the woman on the till was not a happy bunny and snapped at my 9 year old niece because she picked up a box of choc milk drink while she was ringing it up. In fact all of the staff seemed quite miserable and unhappy. Reptile house was closed too. I don’t think I would go again. I think the staff need customer service training.

Nice little zoo with a good variety of animals, ideal deal for a family day out for a couple of hours. A small park for the kids to keep entertained and use up some energy
