Ofrezco educación y exploración de apnea en la isla Santa María, Azores. Trabajo en colaboración con un centro de buceo y vamos al océano en barco o desde la orilla. La Isla Santa María es perfecta para el buceo en apnea con una hermosa visibilidad, aguas más cálidas, paisaje volcánico con arcos, cuevas abiertas y gran cantidad de peces, entre ellos, las hermosas rayas Mobula, visibles desde julio hasta principios de octubre a sólo 30 minutos por barco. ¡Ven y únete a mí para disfrutar de la pasión!

This Sailing-Snorkeling week was for my part just extraordinary, a human and sporting adventure
rich in emotion and sharing.
Proposed and led by Ondine, freediving instructor and Tangui, her skipper.
A big thank you to this shock team!!
Even before boarding the plane to the Azores, Ondine and Tangui had a close
especially for the preparation of the trip (taking information and intelligence for
allow their host the smooth running of the cruise .).
A liver arrived at the marina, what a nice surprise to board the boat that will be our place of
life and being welcomed around an aperitif. This relaxed and serene holiday atmosphere
makes it possible to get to know the people who make up the crew.
During this first exchange, Tangui and Ondine brief us on the rules and safety on board and the
behaviour to be adopted during snorkelling. I already pine just listening to the progress
of this cruise.
Come on, it’s gone, under the instructions of the captain, we drop the moorings, we hoist the sails, heading for
freediving spots where Ondine makes us progress through his workshops and exercises
particularly well suited to each of us, in all serenity and safety.
What to say about explorations and observation of the seabed of the Azores! Accompanied by Tangui
(who is also a very good freediver ) and Ondine who share with us their knowledge and passion for this
ocean so beautiful. What I had the chance to observe: mobula rays , schools of
bonitos, serioles and many other pelagics and fish full of different colors, a fauna
aquatic really rich.
During day and night sailings you participate, you are not just a spectator.
Tangui makes you discover or improve you on the handling of a sailboat. You take the helm, you
Raise the sails, you adjust them, the total kiff. You always have eyes that shine and marvel
in front of all these beautiful landscapes, these majestic volcanic coasts, these sunrises and sunsets
splendid. There are also moments of calm and exchange, conviviality around good meals
(with local products and for all tastes and diets). We take turns cooking and it is
even for dishes which is not a chore at all but a pleasure when, at the same time,
you enjoy beautiful anchorages in small bays or you feel like you are alone in the world.
What a sporting, entertaining adventure, which feeds you in depth, fills you with happiness.
Action, calm, sensations, sailing and snorkeling, things I forget to feel
in everyday life.
Ondine and Tangui are always listening, putting you in confidence and safety. They create a
serene and peaceful atmosphere on board the boat throughout the stay.
I highly recommend this Sailing Snorkeling experience to all those who love
adventure friendliness, team spirit, community life, nature, simplicity of life,
choses. This cruise is really suitable for all levels and anyone curious about
practice sailing and snorkeling on the same stay.

Every year I go to Santa Maria I book with Freedive Azores for excelent freediving experiences. Ondine is a very experienced and super professional freediver and instructor, and she knows Santa Maria very well. She will take you to incredible dive spots like Pedrinha or Ambrosio. My boyfriend did AIDA 3 Freedive course with her this year and he was able to unlock new skills and learn much more about his freediving potential. The fun dives were very exciting and we saw lots of marine life such as manta rays, bluefin tuna, wahoos, huge families of amberjacks... it was simply amazing and it is definitely an experience we truly recomend! Thank you Ondine for enriching our trip to Santa Maria

Together with my partner we took the AIDA 2 course + Ambrosio excursion with Ondine at Santa Maria, Azores.
Prior experience consisted of snorkeling and untutored light pool practice. We were both already a little bit familiar with the frenzel technique. My partner had known difficulties with equalisation.
When we contacted Ondine she over video conversation made sure that we had an understanding of the frenzel technique. It was a strong first impression of a true professional with an strong ability to teach. The information through mail correspondence was timely and clear, we never had to worry about anything.
When we met Ondine in person she did not disappoint. She's energetic and pleasant but disciplined with attention to detail and safety. Again, a true professional. She was also generous with her time and equipment and was able to find solutions to every problem we encountered, including my own pair of fins breaking. Not only a professional and generous but she has an incredible passion for the ocean!
On our first dive we ended up in a difficult situation, to no fault of Ondine. Throughout the whole ordeal Ondine was calm, displayed control of both me and my partner and made the best possible out of our dive. We weren't discouraged to go out again.
On the rest of our dives we were joined by 1-2 other freedivers. Despite this we never felt as if we didn't get the time or supervision we needed, if anything it only added to our positive experience. She asks but doesn't demand, neither of us never felt pressured to perform. She was empathetic and understanding when we had problems or were uncomfortable. The time on the water was well organized.
All the locations were beautiful. A beautiful coastline. Beautiful blue sea. Below were lava formations and rocks with rich sealife. For most part excellent visibility. Current could however be strong and there could be waves which added to the challenge, but in a positive way I think. We both reached our goals thanks to Ondine.
We then ended on a highnote with an excursion to Ambrosio. Beautiful mobula rays close to the surface, schools of amberjacks up close and personal, Yellow-fin tuna and wahoos and all whilst surrounded by that deep blue ocean. Simply fantastic!
My only advice is that if you have any history of seasickness, perhaps even if you don't, bring seasickness medication!
Would I recommend Ondine to anyone who is looking to learn more about freediving? Absolutely YES.

Ondine drove us to the Ambrosio site in the open sea, we were lucky to see along the way a small green turtle, dolphins and on the spot about thirty mobula rays with some local fish. There was current on the day of our tour: some stayed clinging to the buoy at the front of the boat (and saw the rays well), others swam against the current before returning to the boat

I took an advanced equalization class for freediving with Ondine and was absolutely delighted. She has a very effective way of teaching and she guided me with advises tailored to my own challenges. You can tell that she cares. If you have any equalization issue, I highly recommend going with Ondine !

I have just returned from a week of training in Madeira, organized by Ondine. Ultra professional, available, and always enthusiastic, she allowed the participants to progress well, while creating a great atmosphere. I recommend a thousand times.

I was freediving with Ondine in September 2023 for some days during my stay in Santa Maria. Although the group was quite international, she managed very well to respond to each one individually depending on his level of freediving, his experiences and as well his talents! That helped a lot and therefore I was able to set a new personal best in static apnoe as well as FIM/CWT. Happy as could be! Thanks for the enjoyment, looking forward to come back to Santa Maria next year! Theresa

We did two shore dives and two boat trips with Ondine during our stay on Santa Maria island and found her knowledge of the locations and conditions so helpful and informative. She offers an amazing blend of professional and safety conscious guidance and teaching with a genuine spirit of the art of freediving. Ondine is more than just a technically gifted freediver, she has an energy and a passion for the ocean and its inhabitants which she willingly and generously shared during our trip. She recorded many of our dives with photographs and some video which was so valuable to remember some of the incredible things we saw including the Mobular Rays. Being patient, open minded and humble always helps and bringing these qualities with you, Ondine and the ocean around Santa Maria will share an incredible freediving experience.
