We had an amazing hiking tour on the south-east trail of the Etna thanks to Paolo. It was a non touristic route with a stunning landscape and view. Paolo was a super nice and welcoming guide - definitely recommended!

The Etna half day excursion was a truly fantastc experience. The views were breathtaking and the tour guide Paolo was top class.
I'm a 63 year old man and Paolo held my arm to make sure I was able to make it up the steepest parts of the hike. His knowledge of Etna and her eruptions were again top class. He kept our interest throughout the hike as I could sense his true love for Mount Etna. A fantastic day which I truly enjoyed and a fantastic host. Bravo Paolo.

Everything was brilliant on this tour.
Paulo's communication before the tour was great, allowing us to easily organise the tour around the weather.
The tour it's self was very interesting, and Paulo's knowledge of Etna was very extensive. His English was also very good, which made everything easier.
The lunch at the end, traditionally Sicilian, was also delicious.
Very good value for money and an all round perfect half day - Thank you.

Nel 2015 eravamo andati come neosposini nel fare una visita guidata con Etna sensations.
Dopo 8 anni nell'aprile del 2023 siamo tornati con nostro figlio di 7 anni con la stessa guida ad esplorare l'Etna, la sua biodiversità, la sua natura, il suo unico straordinario ecosistema.
La professionalità di Paolo è unica e lo confermo come riprova a distanza di anni.
Un'escursione con Lui e con la sua professionalità e simpatia il tempo vola

We went for a hike together with guide Paolo on the Etna, he arrived at our B&B at 8:15, the earlier the better to see the Etna. We were lucky that we had Paolo as a 'private' guide as there were no other persons joining. Paolo was very kind and has a very large knowledge about the vulcano. He talks in a very passionate and interesting way, he really wants you to understand the explanation. We could ask him anything about the Etna or Sicily in general, as well as, some local tips. We first visited a Volcano grotto and thereafter we started the hike. We hiked at our pace and stopped a few times to catch the nice views. Paolo adapts the hike according to the group. After the hike, he took us to a local bar and let us taste the typical arancini (included in the price). Overall, we had a very nice experience and we would definitly recommend to try Sicily Sensations.

È stata una meravigliosa esperienza!
Paolo la nostra guida ci ha dato appuntamento alle 15:45 a Riposto e ci è venuto a prendere con la jeep e ci ha portato all’inizio del percorso a quota 2000 circa raccontando nel percorso le prime informazioni sulla montagna. Ci ha guidato lungo un percorso prima nel bosco e poi salendo sul lato sud est del vulcano verso la stupefacente valle del bove e poi sulle ceneri. Bellissimi paesaggi è bellissimo tramonto. In chiusura del percorso abbiamo visitato anche una grotta formata dallo scorrere della lava.
Percorso alla portata di tutti ma andare attrezzati con scarpe da trekking e pantaloni leggeri e comodi.
Consigliatissimo!!!

We arranged to meet our guide Paolo at 0830 in Riposto and reached our first stop at ca 1300m and got a thorough explaination and info to the process of the making of the lava caves. The main hike followed an old donkeytrail up to ca 2500m with frequent stops and quality talks on the whole Etna history leading up to present time. The Bove bowl was next and you truly feel the immensity of the place. Paolo took us on a slightly higher trail on the way back with a fantastic half-running, half hopping descent on silica gravel all the way down to the car. Followed by a lovely meal and tons of water, we were returned to our accommodation. We all felt Paolo was a part of our family and will give him a 10/10. SUPER GUIDE!!! Thx Paolo😃
