Just been round the exhibition again, it was just as good as the first time. I find it so hard to describe the magnificence of the workmanship that was used to create the individual soldiers. I stood in front of an archer just looking at the details of the face. It is the weirdest thing, I keep expecting his chest plate to start moving in time with his breathing. Obviously he is made of terracotta and the chest doesn't move but they are amazing to see. Even if you're not into museums please go round the exhibition and marvel at the skill of the craft men who created the massive number of the Terracotta Army to protect the first Chinese ruler for ever and ever. I am sure you will be fascinated. Then it's off to the Horse with the Red Umbrella for a good cuppa.

A bit interesting yet a complete rip-off for the money - £36 for family ticket (and not far off twice what it says on their website - it's £10 per adult not £6.50) to visit essentially two small rooms set up idk about 30 years ago, where several of the laminated labels had been 'accidentally' stuck in more than one place meaning that the information that could be gleaned was far reduced from what there was space for). It was a bit interesting and I came out knowing a bit more than I went in knowing... but only about 30 minutes later and that was us trying to eke out a tiny bit of value for money.

So dissapointing.

Expensive and tiny. Says on the web site you can buy stuff there but you cannot.

We planned on being there for a bit as my daughter is learning Mandarin but unless you sat and watched the video the whole experience was over in 25 mins.

We attempted to learn more, our teen asking how the artifacts got there etc and the lady on the desk literally said 'sorry I have no idea I am only here to sell the tickets',

There was also a teddybear museum upstairs that you had to pay seperately for -we didn't bother as the 'gift shop' was full of them and some Chinese postcards

The museum consists of two tiny rooms, with replicas of the warriors, some pottery and a video film. It takes no more than 20 mins for the experience. Very poor value for money at £10 per adult. This did not include entrance to the teddy bear museum upstairs..

Well it is what it is, a very small museum with replica figures. But if you can't get to see the real things then go along. There's also an informative video you can watch, and a teddy bear museum upstairs

We were really excited about having a chance to see some of the terracotta warriors and planned on spending a good chunk of time there. Imagine our shock and utter disappointment when we paid £16 for the 2 of us with a guide book only to go into a room that was not any bigger than the downstairs of an average house. Time spent less than 10 minutes, I suppose we could have sat and watched the 1/2 hour movie, but we wanted to see actual exhibits. Our advise unless you have a huge pocket of money spend your money on something more worthwhile.

Was quite excited when I saw this museum was nearby to where we are staying on a few days holiday. I have always been interested in the original story of the discovery. This museum was very dull and dated. The items on display are not in the main actually from China. They have been replicated to show what the actual items would look like. I would recommend you save your money and watch a descent video on YouTube on the subject.

Me and my partner brought the golden pass and was the main reason for this visit and it was in the same building as the teddy bear museum. It had lots of information and a video to watch the whole story line of the warriors. It had full life sized replicates as well as half size ones too.

This is one of those things that you have to be fascinated about in order to enjoy it. Kids would probably find it incredibly boring especially if the parent isn’t prepared to explain this incredible find.
The film was interesting to watch, it explained what the army was built for and why. The replicas were very good, and very lifelike, so much so I found one section a bit too creepy and had to leave, but that’s probably just me.
If your interested go, if you’ve got kids, they would probably appreciate giving it a miss

Seeing the terracotta warriors was interesting yet not as impressive as I'd hoped. Not quite sure my 6 yr old appreciated it as much as the Tutenkhamen exhibition also in Dorchester .
