Admission to this museum and art gallery is free. It is a very interesting and well curated museum with exhibits to suit all tastes.
We particularly enjoyed the Joseph Wright Gallery.

We went to the museum to pass some time, however we had a fabulous time! We really enjoyed learning about the mummies and also seeing the war uniforms!

Visited the temporary Egyptian exhibtion - absolutely brilliant! Excellent thought provoking interpretation, very well laid out allowing the visitor to make informed choices. Will be back to explore the permanent collection! Lovely staff too!

Excellent museum. Friendly staff and a range of well-curated galleries over 3 floors. We particularly enjoyed Natural History and the World's Object galleries that asked somethought-provoking questions. Came for the Joseph Wright of Derby items. The special exhibition on Egyptology was also really good. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Derby Art Gallery to see their marvelous collection of Joseph Wright paintings. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, particularly John in the Gallery room. The paintings are nicely displayed with, painted on the floor, an interesting trail summarising key events from Joseph Wright's life. The Gallery is free to visit and it also has a nice Cafe on the ground floor.

Another great visit! We really wanted to visit The Egyptian display which had 2 mummies. This was fascinating really enjoyed it! Would recommend if you like history and stuff Egyptian. The mummies are displayed very respectfully. £5 entrance fee for Egypt display which was well worth it. Otherwise no entrance fee but you can give donation. Due to limited time we couldn't see everything but what we did see was fantastic 👏 thank you great visit.
Again all staff very helpful 👍 in fact on way out of this museum they called us over to advise a member of staff from the Pickford House Musuem which we visited earlier, had been on telephone to advise she had overcharged me for purchases I had bought in Pickford house shop and I could be refunded there and then. The amount overcharged was very small but this gesture and trouble taken to track me down shows you how helpful and good staff are. 👏 gave it as donation.

I visited here recently with my daughter, due to attending one of the planned summer activities “Make a Shabti or Saracophagus”.
On arrival we first went to the cafe for a drink & piece of cake. There was plenty of seating to choose from & it was good to see the museum items in the cafe too.
After finishing in the cafe, we had a walk around the museum, with my daughter being particularly interested in room containing the animals. We then went onto the planned activity & were greeted by two lovely ladies. They gave us the clay, then explained about what & how we could make the Egyptian figures, along with giving us all the necessary tools. Once we finished, one of the ladies helped to pack them up, for us to take home & then helped me gather everything up before leaving.
I will definitely be back in the future, keeping an eye out for more activities.

Fantastic exhibition of Egyptian artefacts. Well curated and John, the museum guide, was really friendly. The other exhibits in the museum are also well worth a look as is the quiet cafe.

Excellent little museum, covering Wedgewood era art, ancient world, fossils, and a surprisingly poignant military history section. Friday at 11am and a number of volunteers or staff answering questions. Free but definitely worth the voluntary donation.

There are quite a few activities for young children. The stuffed animals are of interest to all ages there is a table for children with paper and coloured pencils to draw what they have seen and then they can pop it on the wall with the other children's pictures. There are drawers to pull out below the exhibits with information for either the child or guardian to read.

Sorry, I'm a little confused by your question. This is a museum & art gallery review.
