The perfect bike tour experience. Great exercise and interesting history with a knowledgeable, hip tour guide. Everything went so smoothly. Bruce greeted me at the station with bikes that were in in tip-top condition and pre-sized for my fit. Easy-peasy, we were ready to roll.
Highlights from the tour were the visit to the historic Menier chocolate factory and its unique village. We also toured the amazing Château de Champs-sur-Marne and it’s lovely gardens. My favorite part of the trip was casually peddling along the Marne River while Bruce informed me of local customs, fun-facts and insider tips. Bruce and I stopped for lunch and a chat. I truly enjoyed Bruce’s company.
The biking was not too challenging. An easy workout with plenty of stops along the way for water breaks and insight from Bruce.
If you want a fresh-air filled delightful day while visiting Paris this tour is for you.

Our cycling tour at the beginning of November 2022 with Bruce was our best and most memorable day in Paris. We took the Chantilly tour from 10:20am until 6pm in the evening or so. The biking pace was relaxed. We saw the beautiful cathedral Notre Dame de Senlis and Chateau Chantilly right before taking the train home. Bruce has done something special with these cycling tours. It's not common to get such views of the French countryside, uninhibited by tourism or traffic. Truly a wonderful time.

My 13 year old daughter and I did a three hour bike tour along the Marne river with Bruce. He was helpful and communicative and the ride itself was lovely.

We had an amazing time biking to Chartes with Bruce. The communication leading up to the ride was helpful. We were well prepared and knew what to expect. The scenery on the ride was beautiful. We stopped to buy some picnic foods at a bakery in one of the towns and rode to a peaceful park where we could eat & relax prior to the final portion of the ride. Bruce had great information and is so knowledgable about Paris. A great day was had by all!

On our last trip to Paris, my US credit cards would not work on the Velib bikes, much to my daughter’s disappointment. Rather than leave it to chance, and a little intimidated by the bike, scooter, and vehicle at traffic, I booked a tour with Bruce.
He did a great job working with me on sites, routes and distance appropriate for my 11 yo. He probably spent more time monitoring weather and communicating with me than he did on the tour itself.
I look forward to my next trip and a longer ride in the country side. And, I will be more confident riding in the city. Thanks FM

To begin, we have not biked (yet!) with Bruce due to an injury my son sustained a few weeks prior to us going to France. However, I always want to share any positive interaction with my fellow travelers who may be considering booking a tour like this.
My family of 5 (kids ages 13, 11, &10) are active. Because if this, I try and make sure any tour we book is truly active enough to keep my energetic bunch satisfied but not exhausting. We're on vacation after all! After coming across reviews of French Mystique Tours, I was intrigued by Bruce's offerings and reached out. What I got in return was a very thorough and thoughtful chain of communication. It is obvious he loves biking. It is obvious he loves France. And if was obvious that he wanted us to do the perfect tour for our family even if it wasn't with him.
I truly appreciate that. In a world of cookie cutter tours, it can be hard to find something that has some soul to it. Based off of our communications, I have him on my list of to do when we return in the fall (knock on wood, without any more sports related injuries!). And I'm hoping that the current one preventing me from booking a tour in March, proves less serious than we thought and heals quickly so we can book sooner than later!
I recommend if you are having any hesitation, to just contact Bruce. He'll guide you through your questions and answer ones you didn't know you needed. And I think just like everyone else on this review board, you'll have a wonderful tour with him!

This review is long overdue. Our family of four did the Chantilly to Senlis tour with Bruce in early August. Bruce was thorough in all his communication prior to our arrival. He asked pertinent questions about our biking experience, activity levels and interests. He was prepared for our arrival at the bike shop, reviewed safety concerns, and did a good job assessing our comfort level riding through the streets of Paris. All of our interactions with Bruce - from inquiry email to the day we spent with him were very professional. He had loads of information to share, and provided ample opportunities for photo ops. It was a perfect mix of riding through beautiful back roads, cobblestone towns, and best of all was not having to think about any of the logistics. Bruce had it all covered and you can tell he truly enjoys what he does. It was one of the best days of our trip. He also had great recommendations for the next leg of our trip to Normandy.

These aren't bike tours of Paris. These aren't multi-day bike vacations. If you're looking for half or full-day bike tours, accessible from Paris, through the French countryside, looking at medieval villages and castles, with a small group, and personalized tour guide who works with your wishes, then THIS is what you want.
Bruce asks a lot of upfront questions. And it's worth answering all of them on the front end because it makes for such a pleasant experience.
He told us what to expect as we zipped through a Paris rush-hour to the train station. he helped us buy our train tickets, then got us all set up and loaded onto the train.
He would explain how our picnic lunch would work and how the day would play out, and asked about options we had based on our timing.
Then there are the sights. Oh my! He knows the best streets and pathways to go deep into the region. He KNOWS you want the small quaint village feel, and he delivers. He KNOWS you want the stunning countryside, and he delivers. He KNOWS you want to see an amazing chateau, and he delivers.
Then he sees you safely back by train, back through Paris with a fond farewell.
DO THIS!

This is our second bike ride with Bruce. Having experienced the first, we realised that he was like no other bike tour in Paris. His group size is small, he is safe and is a treasure trove of information. This time we did the Marne river side tour and enjoyed every bit. Bruce even had the tickets for the transport, delivered to our hotel. We would love to do another ride with Bruce.

After a wild ride through the streets of Paris, and a train ride to Chantilly, we started our bike ride out to Senlis. Bruce was a great guide! The route was easy to bike, beautiful and full of interesting history. Once we got to Senlis, he explained the history of the town, as well as the historical architecture. He ten led us on a ride through the town, allowed us to explore the cathedral in town, and then took us to a great public space to enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch, there was a little more time to explore the town on foot, and then it was off to Chateau Chantilly! At the chateau, Bruce once again explained the history and pointed out architectural features.
At the end of our trip, we agreed that our day of biking was our favorite day, and one on which we will always look back on as one of our best days ever.
