I really don’t think that this “Open air museum” should be considered a museum... but it’s fun all the same. Like user James G, I really don’t want to write too much about this old gentleman’s work: just look near the Augustus mausoleum for some interesting writings, drawings, and other curios!

Not sure why this is considered an attraction -- indeed, I think TA should remove this listing. This is the work of an an older gentleman whom I saw today, who places bits of garbage (McDonald's fries wrapper, broken plastic doll arm, cigarette butt, etc.) with a little saying, around the ancient Mausoleum of Augustus, across from the Area Pacis. One sign merely says "merde" with an arrow to where a small dog apparently relieved itself. In my opinion, this is litter; he's even tossed some bits of garbage through the fence and into the archaeological site. The only good thing is it appears he takes his "art" home with him when he's done at the end of the day.

Wow! This is too fun to reveal... must take you by chance for maximum enjoyment... just go for a stroll and be charmed in the open air...

I don't want to write too much about this outdoor 'museum' but if you find yourselves wandering near the Mausoleum of Augustus keep an eye out for writings on the fence, a chap leaning against a wall, and surprises around any possible corner.
