I had a great time last night learning to cook three delicious authentic Italian pasta dishes.
Hands on cooking with a great chef and educator Manuel.
Best activity in Bologna. I wish I’d found it sooner I would have gone a second time. Great value for money.

Sehr sympatische und kompetente Kursleitung. Perfekte Anleitungen. Alles von Grund auf und frisch erarbeiten. Sehr günstiger Preis (Kochkurs, Essen und Wein für Euro 39.00). Bologna mit diesem Kochkurs = Ein absoluter Mehrwert der Reise.

The course was amazing, more than our expectations!
Luigi was a perfect teacher and a such wonderful person! We had a delightful cooking experience thanks to him.
Next time we are coming to Bologna we will come again in this school and ask for Luigi!
Tout était simplement parfait, Luigi est adorable et parle très bien Français! Nous avons beaucoup appris. Un vrai bonheur de cuisiner avec lui. L'expérience était incroyable. Dès que nous revenons sur Bologna nous reviendrons faire un cours avec lui pour apprendre encore plein de bon plat italien!

My husband and I just finished a cooking class with Manuel and it is one of the best things we have ever done here in Italy. Manuel is not only a fantastic teacher, but a wonderful man. We learned so much from him about cooking, but also the Italian culture. He is fantastic!
We made pasta (yes, homemade!) with bolognese sauce, tortellini in broth and raviolis in a gorgeous butter sage sauce. And yes, it was all made from scratch. The meal was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t believe we made it ourselves- with Manuel’s kindness and help.
Afterwards, we sat around and ate all our creations with a lovely bottle of wine.
Manuel, thank you for giving us an experience we will never forget.

Ieri sera ho partecipato ad una serata di scuola di cucina con lo chef Manuel.
C'erano tanti ragazzi stranieri desiderosi di conoscere e imparare qualcosa della nostra cultura italiana.
È stata una serata fantastica : Manuel è stato un bravissimo maestro nel comunicare gli insegnamenti ma soprattutto nel coinvolgere tutti.
In sole tre ore abbiamo preparato le tagliatelle e il ragù, gli straccetti di pollo, le verdurine saltate in padella e il dessert....
Ciò che è seguito è stata la cena tutti insieme: un modo per apprezzare il nostro operato, ma anche per scambiarci saperi e usanze dei nostri paesi.
Mi sono sentita veramente "a casa", lo consiglio e lo rifarò.
C'erano tanti ragazzi stranieri desiderosi di conoscere e imparare qualcosa della nostra cultura italiana.

My wife (Katie) and I (Sean), had a two to one session here yesterday .
We attempted to get on a normal group booking but this was full so we opted to pay for private lessons as we felt we'd regret going to Italy and not learning how to make proper pasta and Ragu!
It is located in the student / university district around a 10 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. On arrival we were greeted and presented with an apron and chefs hat (wearing the hat was optional!)
The kitchens are clean and well prepped so that you can get straight on with learning and cooking.
The chef who taught us was extremely patient and knowledgeable.
He guided us through all the steps and answered all our questions .
Throughout the three hour lesson we were taught to make a range of pasta which could be combined in a variety of ways .
It was extremely good fun and the chef was very relaxed and warming towards us. He spoke the English language well and attempted to teach us some Italian.
This I must say, was one of, if not our best experience of Bologna!
I would definitely recommend!!

Ho avuto in regalo tre lezioni di cucina.
Ieri sera ho partecipato alla prima.
Chef Jvan Ferrari, simpatico e competente. Ha svelato qualche tecnica di cucina.
Preparato 3 piatti di pesce. Siamo partiti dalla pulitura del pesce (polipo, calamari, seppie), alla preparazione delle verdure per cucinarli. Per poi mangiarli.
Tre ore abbondanti di relax completo, da provare.
Ieri sera ho partecipato alla prima.

I enjoyed watching Chef Davide show us how to make pasta, and then took great satisfaction from making it in a team with another student. Chef had us make three dishes, each with meat, but there are vegetarian choices other nights. Lessons are in Italian. Food was delicious, but we ate rather late.

Participer à un cours de cuisine en Italie et fabriquer la "pasta" soi-même : quel meilleur moyen pour appréhender réellement la culture italienne? Accueil excellent, chefs très compétents et pédagogues. Vous ne parlez pas Italien? Pas de problème : la communication se fait très facilement et en toute convivialité, aussi bien en groupe de plus de 30 personnes qu'en comités plus restreints de 3 ou 4. Un moment chaleureux, convivial et gourmand ! Etape incontournable pour mes prochains passages à Bologne ! Grazie a tutti !

When Bologna was in the itinerary; this was a must do for me as I love cooking and especially Italian cuisine. I booked via the Bologna Welcome and was able to get a class on that night for 60 euro/3 hours. As it turned out the class on that night was spoken mainly in Italian, a bonus! The chef was superb and very attentive to the 6 of us in the class, as we shared tasks and kept busy. We made chickpea crepes with ricotta, asparagus and mint; Eggplant Parmigiana and chocolate cheesecake with a wicked sauce. When the food was ready we all sat down and out our creations with generous servings of wine. A bonus was the chef invited my husband, who doesn't cook, to join us for the meal, Grazie

Hi, I am keen to do a 3 hour cookery class on Friday 6 May. My family (husband and 2 children, aged 11) would like to join me at the completion of the class to eat together. Is this OK, and what are the charges for class, and additional people eating. I am staying at Albergo Panorama, via Giovanni Livraghi 1, 40121; what distance away are classes held. We are glad you would like to join our cooking school on the 6th of May!
You can either join a Group course or we can organize a private lesson for you. In both cases your husband and sons are welcome to join you at the end of the course, to eat together the dishes prepared without any extra fee.
The Group lesson will take place from 19:00 to 22:00. You will prepare a traditional menu (fresh pasta, second dish, dessert). At the end of the lesson participants eat together the dishes prepared, along with a combined wine. The price for this lesson is Euro 60.
Otherwise we can organize a private lesson for you: you can decided the menu and the timing and you will have the Chef at your complete disposal. The price for this lesson is Euro 235.
