We wanted to see something off the typical tourist path. Fiona did a great job with this assignment.
Our first stop was a 15th century garden totally hidden behind high walls. She made arrangements to allow us to enter the garden. She was super knowledgeable about all the trees and plants that were there. She also told many interesting stories about the history of the garden and the people who created it.
Next stop was a paper marbling workshop. This was a husband and wife operation. They use the same techniques that have been done by Italian artisans for hundreds of years. They demonstrated every step in the process of creating beautiful marbled paper designs. This was a fascinating experience.
As we walked around Venice Fiona told many interesting stories about the palazzos that we saw. She was able to answer all our questions on many topics.
We highly recommend Fiona for anyone who wants to see some less visited sites in Venice.

Das war bereits unsere zweite Stadtführung mit Fiona und wir waren wieder sehr begeistert! Diesmal ohne Kinder, als Paar mit Freunden, hat sie flexibel auf unsere Wünsche reagiert, mit überraschenden Informationen aufgewartet und tolle Empfehlungen für die restlichen Tage in der wunderbaren Stadt gegeben. Alle Erwartungen übertroffen…herzlichen Dank!!

we drove from the border of france to Venice Easy drive on motorway left car in carpark and took ferry to venice
easy to navigate the vaporetto to st marco and a 2 minute walk to our hotel which was in an old palazzo beside a small canal We walked around a bit and went to dinner at giardinetto de severino a nice restaurant underneath the growing vines Very romantic The food was good Next day we booked a private tour with lokafy ,which is locals showing you their hometown, We were picked up by our guide at the hotel and what a brilliant tour it was We fell in love with Venice It is 120 euros for 3 hours but so worth it We will definitely use them again We will be back

We had an amazing experience with our guide from Venice Tours, Rickardo, who guided us through some of the streets before our ride in the gondola. He were so sweet and great at guiding. He told the group about Venice with a lot of passion.

Fiona hat uns an zwei Tagen durch Venedig geführt und mit ihren lebendigen und humorvollen Erklärungen sogar meine vier Kinder begeistert. Außerdem spricht sie super deutsch. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht und wir haben viel gelernt!

Fiona ist eine sehr kompetente und nette Stadtführerin. Die zwei Stunden sind wie im Flug vergangen. Wenn wir wieder nach Venedig kommen, dann buchen wir bei Fiona bestimmt an zwei Tagen eine Stadtführung. LG Monika, Thomas, Claudia und Max

Auf den Spuren von Commissario Brunetti inkl. einzigartigem Besuch der Dachterrasse war ein einmaliges, unvergessliches Erlebnis.
Fiona scheint jede Zeile aller Bücher zu kennen und liefert viele Hintergrundinfos, die mit der Geschichte von Venedig zu tun haben und auch mit Donna Leons eigener Lebensgeschichte. Es war kurzweilig, spannend und auch einfach lustig.
Wir werden weitere Führungen mit Fiona buchen, wenn wir wieder nach Venedig kommen. Sie spricht außerdem perfekt Deutsch, mit einem liebenswürdigen italienischen Akzent…..

Our family of 10, 6 adults and 4 children ages 9,11,13 and 15 will be visiting Venice the Aug. 12-15, 2018. I have read many fantastic reviews about Fiona as a guide and wonder if she has availability for a 2 1/2 -3 hour walking tour of Venice either morning or afternoon of Aug. 13. Hi Mary, From memory you need to contact Fiona directly via email. She is great btw and kept our children - age range from 16 - 9yrs - and ourselves, totally engaged. Ask her to pre book tickets if possible for some the more not so accessible tours, like behind the scenes at the Doge's palace. Enjoy!
