Eine gemütliche Bar - ausser es fährt halt gerade ein Zug untendurch. Gute Auswahl an Getränken und freundliches Personal.
Bezahlt wird cash only, was ich persönlich nicht mehr zeitgemäss finde. Mittlerweile sind die Hürden (finanziell und organisatorisch) für Kartenzahlungen nicht mehr hoch.

Assortment of comfy padded antique furniture inside, outside is a mix of wooden and metal tables and chairs overlooking the train tracks, during the summer outside seating is very nice, but not at this time of year. The interior is really nice with a variety of padded, antique furniture.
Wohnzimmer Bar offers a complete assortment of beverages of hot/cold beverages, beer, wine, mixers, cocktails and more. There are three TurbinenBräu beers, I ordered the Rekord Amber (5CHF). There is streaming music, no Wi-Fi, spotless restrooms, and Cash Only accepted here.

Yeah. They make everybody in your group register for contact tracing (safety first!) but when you pay : “cash only”!

Relaxed - an Wochentagen und im Winter.
Warmer Raum im kühlen kleinen Kalkimonster -
Nicer Sound zu angenehmen Zeiten.
Im Sommer allerdings nervig voll, so wie am Wochenende...

Excellent cocktails, kind of "living room" design inside, friendly and professional service. On Fridays and Saturday expect the place to be packed. Music is provided by DJs. Impeccable and very unique atmosphere with lots of fine people. Highly recommended.

Estávamos hospedados nas proximidades do bar e o encontramos pois queríamos terminar a noite sem nos preocupar com transporte para voltar para casa. Surpreendente. O público é bastante diversificado. Música muito boa. Chopps na temperatura ideal.

Wie Name Wohnzimmer.. Gemütliche Bar Im Sommer sicher noch schöner Bekeueme Stühle ich denke okay. Ich würde sicher weiter empfehlen.

Schön eingerichtete Bar mit angenehmen Gästen. Gutes offenes Bier, vorallem das Pale Ale schmeckt sehr gut. Leider ist die Musik manchmal etwas zu laut, daher sind Gespräche nicht immer stressfrei möglich...

This is a very nice and cozy bar nestled at the back of the Kalkbreite building.
The name speaks for itself as to the atmosphere and ambiance one can expect - living room bar.
Our experience there would have been positively memorable if the terrible service I got from a (German) barman didn't come spoil it all.
He couldn't care less when being asked the origin of a gin (L&B) and in an impatient manner hurried me to choose a gin and then literally screamed at me in front of everybody for taking out an ice cube from my own glass with my fingers. As a sign of retaliation he then poured tonic on my arm and refused to apologize or give me a napkin to dry up my pullover.
Having worked in f&b myself I've seen a lot of unprofessional behaviors, but this one has to top them all... it left me just speechless how a person could hate so much his job and customers that he would let himself go to the extend of being so unfriendly and agressive with them.
Shame, the place is nice and the rest of the staff however are friendly and seem to enjoy working there...
