Not sure where to start since everything about this experience was terrific!
I first started conversing with LLH in January to plan our Caminho adventure, and every step of the way they were excellent. They custom tailored an itinerary to meet our needs. And when we had to completely change dates after they already had everything booked, they could not have been more courteous and accommodating.
We were personally greeted by Daniel in Porto, who then drove us to our starting point in Baiona and provided a briefing of our itinerary. We were given a GPS device (which we didn’t need since their app worked perfectly) tee shirts, tote bags, water bottles and our Caminho passport books. Daniel assured us that on each day our bags would be transferred to the next location. I was honestly apprehensive at first, but my fears were unfounded as we had no issues whatsoever.
Each place booked for us was outstanding (we did the premium package). Accommodations were excellent, and food was outstanding. In short, absolutely everything was taken care of for us.
I recommend this outfitter highly. Daniel in particular was a pleasure to work with.

Such a great tour. We worked with Ricardo to customize our trip a bit. He was very responsive and accommodating. Always easy to reach both before and during the hike.
We went for the premium option and the lodgings ranged from really nice and charming to really nice and 4 star. (The exception to this was Hotel Vincentina which was 2 star at best but we knew that beforehand. ) We also wanted a rest day in the middle of the tour so we stayed two nights in Cappapateira at the lovely Casa Fajara. From there it's a short walk to one of the most amazing beaches I've ever seen.
Live Love Hike provides you with an app which is all you need for route finding. They also provide you with a GPS but we never needed it. The hiking is 12-13 miles per day but the hiking wasn't too difficult. Just really enjoyable. We're in our 60's and did just fine. We were always able to reach our next town in time for lunch at 2pm. There was one trail that was no longer usable due to overgrowth but the app showed us a different way to go. I let Ricardo know about it and he made adjustments to the app route.
I would highly recommend this company and tour.

I went on a 5day hiking tour with 3 of my friends all over 60, but all of us are avid hikers. Sergio Miranda was our guide. We saw the beautiful Douro Valley vineyards, olive trees, ancient villages and stone walls. All spectacular views, on foot! It was a lot of hiking but very rewarding. The weather was mixed with rain but we persevered. Sergio was good about finding alternative ideas/routes as needed. I found him to be very knowledgeable and flexible. It’s not easy dealing with 4 women.

LLH and our guide Sérgio were great. We were a small group, and really had a custom tour, from where to have dinner to how far to hike each day. We had a wonderful mix of hiking and food, wine and culture. Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful 6 night self-guided tour throughout the Douro Valley. The service provided by Daniel and his team from start to finish was excellent. The lux hotels were very comfortable, the restaurant recommendations by LLHike were excellent. The GPS app guidance was similarly excellent. It was a great adventure discovering/exploring the Douro Valley. Daniel’s response to any of our questions was immediate. Have already recommended to our friend. Peter & Val - Canada

None of us had visited Portugal before; the hike in the Douro was a fantastic way to learn about the history, and culture and enjoy the beauty of this valley. Our guide, Daniel, made every aspect a pleasure. His planning of hotels and wondrous restaurants was first-rate. His help on hiking trails was supportive, without being exhaustingly athletic, and his knowledge of the land and the wines made the trip a real addition to our appreciation of the country. Daniel organized alternative adventures for rainy moments. He is an excellent driver of winding roads with a terrific repertoire of music. Overall, he handled our group of active seniors with thoughtfulness and good humor. We are considering adoption.

We had a fabulous guided tour with Daniel, an exceptional guide, knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. The views were specular, the food amazing, the accommodations great. Every effort was made to adjust our plans to the weather and our needs.

Descobrir Sintra a pé foi das experiências recentes mais marcantes que fizemos em família. Não só o ambiente e envolvente são incriveis, como todo o apoio dos guias foi imprencindivel para descobrir espaços e recantos. É uma experiência 100% segura e recomendo a todas as familias com crianças ou casais que gostem de alguma aventura a pé, em segurança.

Outstanding from minute one! Our guide Daniel picked us up from our hotel and took us to Pinhão for a hiking tour. We had tremendous fun walking through the vineyards, along the river Douro. We then went for lunch at a local restaurant that Daniel recommended and it was superb. In the afternoon we went for a wine tasting at Quinta do Bomfim and then a boat ride, the whole day just couldn't have gone better!
