Best meal in Sorrento! Marissa was our instructor and Carmen from the property translated..so much fun. We made ravioli, sauce, flat fried pizza, tiramisu (best ever in whole life). It was the best time, engaging, we laughed, learned and ate so well!! I am looking forward to making this menu at home.

This is an excellent way to spend a morning/lunch. You learn from scratch how to cook many dishes and pick up lots of tips.

Then you get to sit down with the group and eat what you've just produced. The goody-bag at the end, including the recipes is excellent too. Based on my conversations with others who did something similar, this appears to be the best available. Would highly recommend.

This was my first trip to Italy and a cooking class had been highly recommended! What a way to experience a culture! People rave about the food on their holiday - the best way to experience it, is to cook it yourself. I would have never seen myself cooking pasta from scratch, but Marisa made it so simple, that going forward, I doubt I'll buy pasta!! A wonderful morning, spent with wonderful people, cooking, eating and drinking in a great homely atmosphere!

We had SO much fun at this cookery class! definitely worth doing if you have a spare morning! Our teacher Marisa was so sweet and Antonella was great too , really helpful, organised and able to translate everything! We stayed in a different part of sorrento and Antonella organised a driver to pick us up ( highly recommend this as its a maze!) the class was with about 8 people total and we wached marisa then had a go ourselves. It was all very easy going and nothing too complicated! We made fried pizza, sauce, ravioli, fish and tiramisu. We also tasted some calzones. I would recommend wearing comfy shoes and clothes you dont mind getting covered in flour! We got to eat all the food wth some lovely prosecco and wine together which was very nice. Definitely eat some brekky before you go we had worked up an appetite by the time food was ready! We also received a souvenir shopping bag and an apron which we wore during the class! Grazie mille guys one of our favourite honeymoon memories and we will try to recreate the recipes at home!

The people at the resort and school were warm, patient and friendly. I learned many new things about a few basic Italian dishes and we ate what we cooked! A highlight for something unique to do in Sorrento!

Our experience at the Sorrento Cooking School was phenomenal! We loved every second of it. The instructors were patient, entertaining, kind, generous, and clearly loved their job. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience, from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this to anyone; individuals, families, couples, etc. Certainly a wonderful way to spend a morning in Sorrento... just don't eat breakfast beforehand!

We really enjoyed this class. Although it is not in the centre of Sorrento (actually it is in Sant'Angello, the neighbouring community), it was not far at all by taxi, train, or a 30-ish minute walk. We learned how to make a proper pizza AND pasta dough. We also made a delicious basic tomato sauce for either pizza and pasta. We also made a simple steamed fish recipe. Finally, I was very happy to learn how to make my favourite Italian dessert, tiramisu. We were very full after eating all of our projects. The small group of 6 was the perfect number. Highly recommended.

We had a cooking lesson and meal with Chef Carmen at La Cucina del Gusto and had the time of our lives. Chef Carmen was patient and so much fun and taught us that making pasta is not as intimidating as we thought. The class was perfect for our group even though some of us could cook already and others could barely use a toaster. We made delicious gnocchi and linguine while sipping Prosecco, laughing and learning. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone...but go there hungry! It's a fun feast!!!

I tried booking from the UK before going to Sorrento, but for some reason the site would not let me do that so we walked round to the venue and booked direct with them. We are glad we made the effort as the morning we spent there was one of the best experiences of our holiday. There were only 4 in the class the day we attended so Mina the cook had plenty of time to demonstrate, talk about the dishes and answer our questions. Monica the interpreter also helped make it a memorable experience. A morning we will remember for a long time, well worth a visit.

This is my forth visit to Sorrento and in the past I have always walked past this school wishing I was part of the excitement that always seemed to be buzzing from the resort grounds. Well on this occasion I decided to book for a 3 hour hands on experience starting at 10am in the morning. This cost 75 euros however if you are staying at the resort it is around 20 euro cheaper but I must say was worth every penny.

We began by having a pizza dough demonstration to which the dough was put in a warm oven to prove ready for later. We then had experience in making pasta from scratch to make little ravioli with ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese filling. This was very enjoyable and quite easy especially when you have a chef demonstrating and English interpretation by the gentleman from reception making the whole experience very enjoyable. One the ravioli was made this was left to dry out and we went back to the pizza making.

This is not what I would call a traditional pizza making experience. The base of this pizza was fried which kind of turned my stomach however it is dried out on kitchen roll and then the homemade tomato sauce we had made earlier was added along with Parmesan cheese and a basil garnish. They were delicious, so much so I ate 3 of the 4 I made.

We had a break whilst the chef prepared the fish she was going to show the next demonstration on and then we made tiramisu which went in the fridge to cool during the fish demonstration.

Once the fish dish which was made with a Rock fish, seam bream or sea bass being the English equivalent, the ravioli was then cooked and we sat down with wine and water to enjoy. This was the followed by the fish and then the tiramisu.

This although we sat and watched part of the time was informative, fun, with good interaction and good interpretation. It was worth every penny and is an experience I will never forget. I would really recommend this and if you you do decide to go would recommend book in from home prior to going as you do need an appointment and would avoid disappointment.
