Excellent experience at the Cabourg racecourse where everything is done to have an excellent time, both at the Marcel Proust restaurant and during the races.

Impossible to translate such incompetence, no plate to train, tiny foie gras live from Hungary, 2 ladles of vegetables full of water and above 2 fish fillet always cooked in water without obviously any flavor, without spices, the service is very very long. a meal that reminded me of the school canteen.

Customer for many years, it is the descent into hell. Hours to be served some tables left without eating dessert. The portions are worthy of a simple mouthful. 5€ extra for foie gras whose slice corresponds to half of what I had 4 years ago. 1 hour queue to pay because only one case. Duck breast of poor quality. Loyal customers for several years we will not return.

A meal with friends with the adrenaline of the races and the possibility to bet at the table, really to remake an incredible atmosphere when the horses attack the last straight.

As regulars of the Cabourg Racecourse, we are unfortunately very disappointed by the Marcel Proust restaurant, visit after visit. The welcome was cold and unprofessional, with excessive waiting. The dishes did not live up to our expectations: the quality was poor, the portions were small for the Award, and two plates were served without sauce. After complaint, we found that the same three fish dishes had two different sauces, and the desserts were presented in a rather sloppy way, which was disconcerting. Moreover, the service was slow and disorganized, and we even heard the staff complain in front of the customers, which was really inappropriate. Despite the change of tour operator this year, the quality is not there. In summary, we do not recommend this property. To be avoided, please.

Horrible waits an hour and a half between the starter and the main course fortunately we did not take desert we went out at 11:15 p.m. and arrives for 7:30 p.m. service Horrible not enough waiter and the person responsible not there really to flee.

The Marcel Proust restaurant a disaster, more chips for the aperitif break at 7:30 pm, portions of starter worthy of a mouthful, and the table took 30 minutes to be served entirely ( we were 6) and after 2 hours waiting for the dish .....at 45€ the 2 courses ......please remember the caterer who served this racetrack wonderfully for many years ....For the image of the French horse!

We went for the concert of the 80s only interesting theme for us on the summers of this season that does not make you want to go.
And surprised when arriving at 9:20 pm concert already finished and the musicians have already packed everything. Whereas before c was until the end of the races and there were between each race, already last year it had lost some but the c is worse.
Not very nice for those who finish the work at 7pm and who prefer to eat before going given the queuing time to be done to be served on site.From the couo we are distributed without even playing a little race

Meal worthy of the good cafeteria! Bar in starter fortunately there were some carrots with. Supplement for foie gras for a 49 euros menu is abused. Red meat fortunately the knife cut well. We asked for bread and a glass of wine we are still waiting for them! We come here every year not sure to start again!

I booked for 3 seats on Friday, July 19, by email, no answer, I called, I had confirmation of my Reservation with as I had requested a table near the bay window.
At 19:00 on 19.07 we arrived at the reception of the restaurant and were taken care of by a gentleman in denim basketball T-shirt and headphones in the ears.
Our Reservation was very difficult to find and included the remark "risk of cancelling" ... very pleasant...
We didn't get the window table... but table 132... Okay, fine, though.
The person responsible for our rank apparently, was for friendly at first ... over the service ... a little familiar and we were entitled to "in 8 days I give my resignation, employer of m...de"...
Let's go to dinner... Marcel Proust has always been an expensive €42/€45 restaurant with decent catering even if it did not justify this Award.
Here... we go to 49€ the 3 courses...
As a starter foie gras is with extra... petty it seems to me...
Cromesquis and pickled salmon... ok - without much effort of presentation.
The bar/scampi dish - delicious - RAS- nice presentation.
We saw past the beef fillets with relief... at the sight: fishy canteen-style service.
Dessert... undoubtedly, my hand to cut frozen, industrial, presentation without any effort.
Ah, shocking also it seems to me...: the saucer of chips for aperitif - and it's the same for all - I saw people order a bottle of champagne and be served the saucer of chips!!
In short, we are locals accustomed to treat ourselves to this table twice a year and we greatly regret the Award Value of the caterers Ménard and Hérisey.
