Free admission, dog friendly, big park for kids to play on, room to learn about bees and look at hives, big forest for dog walks and lakes for dogs to swim in.

What a beautiful place to walk and have a break from our busy lives and so close to the centre of Huntingdon. The benches by the lakes are great to sit and watch the birds and relax.

This is a lovely space and the children (4 in total all 10 or under) had a lovely time in the woods and open space. Didn’t visit the playground due to Covid, but know the children would love it in normal times. Only issue was the VERY slow service in the cafe - queued for a very long time and most people (including us) were just buying ice-creams. They seemed to be have signal issues with their card reader.

We haven’t been to the park since before lockdown so this was a very pleasant visit. A lovely place to see nature at its best. It was quite busy but everyone was sensible on social distancing which made for a lovely one hour walk.

We came to Hinchingbrooke park for a lovely, relaxing family picnic (socially distanced).

It's a wonderful park, but it's been plagued today by these ridiculous Christian preachers. Singing out of tune and claiming to heal the sick.. it's over loudspeakers and you can hear it throughout.

We didn't ask to subjected to this nonsense and babble. I don't know if the park allowed this, but would they allow Muslims preaching the word of the Quran? Or calling to prayer.

It's such a shame that these can't keep it to themselves and have to ruin a lovely Saturday.

Came here to socially distance and meet a mate for the first time since lockdown. Walked for a good two hours through varied different environments.. Good coffee and sandwiches from the cafe, and a well operated system of queuing for food (Friendly staff, thank you for opening

However it should be noted that there are people,in and around the cafe who have no idea of social DISTANCING. I am talking specifically about the mothers and prams (9 in number) who blocked the access to the cafe from the seating area.
I do recognise that it is difficult maneuvering a pram/pushchair and all the necessary baggage that comes from having a baby/toddler. I am also sensitive to issues that arise from being a young mother.
Please for the benefit of everyone including yourselves and babies , maintain social distancing.
Thanks

This is a fantastic country park for walking yourself or your dog. Really nice walk around the lakes and through the woodlands. Also not to bad a cafe to stop by and have a cuppa once done as well.

The only thing you need to be aware of is that Saturday mornings before 10am are quite manic because of parkrun (another reason to come and visit!!) as three or four hundred parkrunners decent on the country park for the morning.

Walking up from the car park there is an amazing trail through the woods with stepping stones, balance logs etc. This was the best bit as the children's play area was a bit disappointing, the slide was broken and not that much to do for my 6 year old.

Hinchingbrooke Country park is situated about one mile to the south west of Huntingdon. It has a large open space where people exercise their dogs, a small area of woodland and a lake which sadly should not be used by people or swimming animals as it has sadly become stagnant over the years and not particularly safe to swim in.

It is nevertheless an oasis of peace in a heavily populated area between Huntingdon and Brampton. Parking at times can be difficult owing to the close proximity of Hinchingbrooke Hospital..

It has a small information centre which was not manned when I visited. It did provide information on notices about the park.

Some reasonable walks can be made around the park perimeter but their is not a lot to see.
