Very beautifull and nice climb with stairs to the top where you can see a buddha, accompanied by monkees. Just sorry, that theu do not take good care of it, a lot of trash evrywhere. But surely worth a visit. It's not on the tourists barometer.

Worth a visit if it is only for climbing the snaking staircase. I didn't count the number of stairs, probably about 300 or so to the first platform. From there, there is a wooden staircase that we didn't climb. The mountain is spectacular, and half way up there is a small opening where several Buddha images are placed - and these can be seen from both sides of the mountain too. Don't miss out on the small grotto at the base of the mountain too. And beware the monkeys. We were not bothered by them, mainly because they were too distracted by people feeding them - which I do not recommend.

Monkeys were everywhere. We climbed on the route and halfway the monk wanted us to kneel. Blessing with water and bells. Upward was a hole with interesting view. Stairs were not stable.

Definitely worth the climb of steps and as I got to the first level there was a monk who was very pleasant and we talked for quite a while, his English is quite good and likes to practice with us, he lives there every day. The last climb is a bit hairy as the steps are Thai size and not made for European feet, a bit unstable to say the least but manageable, says a 56 year old man! The last climb has a reek of bats although I didn’t see any but there is a decent view to reward you, nothing special but as you drive to this destination you will see the “cave” from afar and I thought there is no way I am climbing up there, however it is not as far as you might think! The down side is the monkeys and it is bad! As I approached the steps a grown male had cornered a young Thai boy and would not let him past, I will not say how but I made it move. On My return to my truck which had several monkeys on it and one had ripped the window wipers off and also ripped the rubber off the running board. Even worse it had ripped back the roofing strips which are metal and hard to replace and to no consolation mine was the 2nd of 3 trucks it had attacked. A pleasant visit ruined by thousands of Baht damage.

Nice quiet temple in the middle of the mountain. Only 2 monks there, they were very nice and talk to me about this temple history.

The temple in the mountains, monkeys. Good prices at the market everything was here. I thought it was great. The true culture of Thailand lives here.

This place is very close to Sakaeo on the road south to Chantaburi about 20 minutes out of Sakaeo, very easy to find (you'll see three big mountain peaks on your left side).

Parking is good. Monkeys everywhere - don't go if you are scared of monkeys.

Walk up the steps to the cave at the top. The last section is wooden steps and is very steep - our kids chose not to go up the last section - and you will be rewarded with views through 2 sides of the cave in to the distance.

Allow an hour for very pleasant visit.

I tripped over this place on my way to Aranyaprathet but I went back and spent a morning cycling around it and it is stunning place to visit and costs nothing to see in the many caves and wonderful rock formations . If you are near to this within an hours drive and you like geology you will love this place .
