Located just off the picturesque village square, this is a large church in which there are numerous brochures and books to buy. The interior to a wealth of interesting windows and war memorials too.

The Church is OK but very similar to almost all other village churches in Kent. It was set on fire in the seventeenth century by a chap shooting crows on the roof, and restored, it also has a unique very early clock on display inside, and there is a Vamping Horn in the vestry. However, it does have something which is more unique. In the churchyard, to the right of the entrance porch there is a gravestone to Thomas Loftus, who served in the colonial wars in America, also served in the West Indies, and apparently it seems, was also in Nova Scotia on Oak Island. The church is seldom used and occasionally is locked up. The village is pretty, but there is no cafe, tea shop, pub or post office, and the liveliest place is the library - when open!

There is so much to recommend this church. Today it was nearly full for the St George’s day parade. There is still plenty of room at the front for activities and total involvement. Other times a small group in the side chapel can feel equally comfortable. The history and fabric of the church have been carefully recorded to reflect the amazing history of this special building

The church is lovely, makes an ideal location for weddings and attending church services. I have photographed this many times, the grounds are beautiful. Well worth a visit if you are in the village area. Able to park next to the church.

Lovely little village church and cemetery. The graveyard and church are both very well looked after and very peaceful. A great way to step away from the hustle and bustle of modern life a get a quick recharge.

Next to an old Archbishop's Palace, the church is at the heart of the village, in a pretty setting by a meadow, The hushed interior doesn't disappoint, with hand-made woodwork, masonry and tiles. Stop by to see it, if you get a chance.

As you walk upto the Church you can feel yourself stepping back in time. Through the large wooden doors in to the cool, surprisingly light church. The tiled floor adding to the echo of your foot steps. Take a pew and enjoy in quiet contemplation. For get the hustle and bustle of everyday life and absorb all that this has to offer. You will not be disappointed.

Charing church is surrounded by green and quaint buildings dating back centuries. It's very picture postcard and a must visit for overseas visitors passing through.

The people of Charing are very welcoming and the sense of community is reflected by all of the events and things going on throughout the year.

Sunday services are just lovely, even if you aren't a regular church goer.

Entry to this cross-shaped church is via a large porch and wooden doors.
The floors are tiled and there are plenty of old pews
Inside there are plenty of plaques to look at; a mixture of plain and coloured glass large windows, a stone font, two huge candelabras hanging from the ceiling and an impressive wooden-strutted ceiling.
There is a large chapel near the alter in which there are candles to light and a prayer book.
The church is located in a central position of this old, historic village and is worth a visit.
