Just love it

I love this place! Green, clean, well kept… staff is friendly. The plants are named which excellent for a person like me who knows nothing about plant’s names.
The herb and vegetable garden is magnificent and so the childre’s garden.

Beautiful local park and gardens
oct. de 2019 • Pareja
A local gem. Shady spots, garden center, ponds, well manicured lawns, shady walking paths, and so much more to explore in this place. Set in the heart of Annandale, it is a great place to enjoy nature. Definitely worth visiting in different seasons throughout the year.

Afternoon at Greenspring
oct. de 2019
This is a jewel. Not many know of it, because it is behind developments. The garden is special - the more you look, the more you see. It is even nice in the winter. It has a nice stream that runs through it and which provides a very nice water garden. It has traditional upland flower gardens. It has a historical farmhouse with rotation art exhibits. And it has a visitor center.

This venue is part of the Fairfax County's park system. It is beautiful and well maintained, There are a number of educational programs, a small greenhouse, a garden shop, a tearoom in a historic house and much more!

Its a garden and a historic site
oct. de 2019
Spent a morning here with my gardening friends and we were really impressed with the beautiful plantings and diversity of species. Their landscapers definitely know how to use color, form and texture. If you need gardening ideas this is the place to go. They have a large greenhouse with tropicals and cacti and succulents. They have a small gallery where the exhibit art and they have a gift shop.

A beautiful place to visit
ago. de 2019
I had come here before on Sundays for the tea programs with member of my book club, but I knew my husband would enjoy taking photos here. We visited on a beautiful summer Saturday morning when the gardens were gorgeous. The walkways are wide and easy to follow to the various sections of the gardens, and there are lots of shady or sunny benches when your legs get tired! Be sure to also take the wooded path down to the ponds! (If you are pushing a little one in a stroller or have a person in a wheelchair, you may want to access the pond area by the paved road near the historic house, that is easier to take down the hill.) This is a great day out for any age!

This is a large bontanical garden located in Alexandria Va. It is very accessible and easy to walk. One can self tour at your own pace. The beauty is overwhemling. Strolling thru the acerage one will see not only flowers and plants that are familiar but many that will be foreign to the average eye. The lotus pad pond is a special touch.

Serene oasis in suburban landscape

We visited on a crisp, sunny day in early November. I was impressed by the sweep of the gardens and the surprising number of plants in bloom, sheltered by magnificent Fall foliage. It was a Sunday, and there happened to be some art shows going on. There's a pretty children's garden that was being enjoyed by young families. Next time we will bring the grandchildren!

Surprisingly interesting and colorful despite the end-of-season stage.

I visited Green Spring Gardens in a group, guided by a volunteer docent. She pointed out many interesting aspects of the plantings and of the historic house at the center of the property. The Gardens showcase many unusual plants, some of them spectacularly beautiful even in late October. Well worth a visit.

Always pick up a couple of ideas on new plants to try or different combinations to use. Plants on sale included some varieties I couldn't find elsewhere and at reasonable prices - and for a good cause.
