Many people miss the downtown area and head to the lakeside area. Anyone who doesn't hit the downtown area misses out on many of the very good restaurants, bars and shops. Parking is easy and it is a pleasant walk around the town.

Lake Havasu City isn’t very large so it makes sense the downtown district would match. Nice area with a variety of shops and restaurants.

My wife and I were in Lake Havasu City for the weekend and visited the downtown District on a Sunday afternoon on the weekend between Christmas and New Years. It was quite, but most of the stores were open and ready for business. There were not many people around. Parking was great and traffic was not too bad making for easy driving and walking. Found a terrific book store and ice cream parlor. Had a beer and glass of wine in a pub, although there were many options available. Interesting shops available with a wide spetrum of products. All shops were well stocked and had friendly helpful staff. Would encourage anybody visiting Lake Havasu City to check out downtown.

We visited in July 2020 during the height of Covid 19....I'm writing this with the hopes that the near future will be rid of that.
We visited the awesome store called The Book Exchange. There are lots of great books onviously,but this store has so much more to explore and delight in!! Toys, games, puzzles, gifts, jewelry, candles and scented items. Just really great. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was certainly a highlight of our trip!

You can find it all on McCulloch Blvd in downtown Lake Havasu City. There are antique, art, gift and quality hand made shops to choose from. You will also find a variety of restaurants ranging from family, fine dining, pubs and more. An old fashioned ice cream shop, Bling, book store with toys and baby clothes, candles and lotions and more. You'll also find a hardware store, cupcake shop, tattoo parlors, barbershops, hair salons, clothing stores. You can't get all this at a mall! And most of the shops are family owned and operated. Note: most stores and some restaurants are pet friendly. Oh, and did I mention there is also a smoke shop!

This area is in a state of flux. Some of the original places, like the local Salvation Army Thrift Store, have been "priced" out of the area.

The entry to "Main Street" Lake Havasu City promises more than it delivers. We loved the attractive markers to the downtown area: the clock in the Old English style, the benches, and the attractive ambiance. The city has made attempts to embellish the route with public art and many of the shops offer a good variety of choices.
However, as we walked the entire length of "Main Street", we could not help but be impressed with how many businesses were ammunition stores, gun & knife shops (including a "machine gun" store), marshal arts studios, several tattoo parlors, and there was even an indoor shooting range. All this is in the Downtown/Main Street area.
There's a fun little shop called "Stella's Antiques" in the Main Street area and we spent quite awhile in there, finding some great memorabilia. Cafes were filled with customers and there was a vitality that held its own in this mixed environment.
However, as we walked the entire length of "Main Street", we could not help but be impressed with how many businesses were ammunition stores, gun & knife shops (including a "machine gun" store), marshal arts studios, several tattoo parlors, and there was even an indoor shooting range.
