The many negative comments are not surprising. I played it several times in 2023-2024. The green fee, $115 with cart, is not worth it.
A good design, but any shot that misses a fairway is heavily penalized and the tricky greens deliver many 3- putts.
But the main issue is the poor condition. Tees are not maintained - mot even mowed before July. Some not level.
In June, clover is everywhere and not treated. In August, crab grass, even on the tees.
The policies of the course may save money, but are negative for the customer:
- The Range tee never repaired or in use for two years. With sign "Mats Only today".
- 90 deg rule for carts all year, no matter how dry the fairways. Annoying, with no real
benefit.
- Many cart paths in dreadful condition, some dangerous.
The overall experience does not provide value. The course may be profitable now, but long term will lose money as golfers avoid it and play better-maintained courses in the area at lower cost.

We had a mid morning tee time as a twosome. Played with a cart. On the second tee the twosome in front of us was angry at the foursome in front of them for their excruciating pace of play and called the clubhouse to have a ranger come out to speed up play. The twosome were members at the course. The ranger did come out right away and spoke to the group on the second green. Nothing changed. We waited on every single shot for the next 16 holes. The slow group had at least a hole and a half open in front of them. The tee times are spaced 10 minutes apart. This likely adds to the slow pace of play as some holes are tight and people end up looking for their wayward shots in the woods. We never saw the ranger again - he never checked back to see if the pace picked up. This is totally unsatisfactory. The problem foursome played in carts and should have finished their round in 4 hours or less. For $105 per person, I expect a different level of caring from the staff. The course was in OK shape for early in the golf season. The greens were firm and fast. The rough was generally about 3-4” deep and a challenge to hit out of. The course layout is terrific - a good mix of holes. That being said, Ledges has lost me as a future customer. Today was truly maddening.

The ranger hassled my group continuously about walking and told us to close the gap with the group in front. The group in front wasn't even visible when we teed off and we never held up the group behind us. Was very put off by this and will not play the course again as we could not enjoy our round. In addition no water provided anywhere on the course nor was there a beverage cart. These things are typically available on courses for considerably less money. Course wasn't in great shape considering all the rain we had in August. I did write to the head pro Kolten Baker to complain but he never answered my email.

Thought the layout was really pretty cool. We played on a day with rain so there weren’t many people out playing so pace of play was really good. I was shocked with a bunch of rain how fast the greens were. Really liked the course

This was our second trip to this golf course. Got there on time and was yelled at for not getting there earlier. Mind you they yelled at my 16 year old son while I was grabbing the clubs. Then someone reported us for only having one set of golf clubs. We were traveling from out of state and did not have the room for both sets. We did this last year with no issues. Then someone told us we had to purchase a $30 set of clubs to borrow for the rest of the course. Paired us up with another group without asking if we wanted to. The group was wonderful and understanding while they made me go back and get the set. The set was very nice, just unnecessary. Then I got stuck twice at the 7th hole. I am ended up with a terrible large localized reaction which caused issues for the rest of my trip. They said they’d look into it but never offered me ice, a water, something. We travel to Maine yearly and will never return to this course. Very disappointed by the staff and course.

Overpriced at $90 weekday. Rangers tried to bully us into taking a cart for another $25 even though we finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes and caught up to the threesome in front of us for the entire back 9. No drinking water or beverage cart provided on the courses

Course is rather average with no special features. For 115pp i expected a much nicer layout and appearance.

This one definitely fell short of expectations. Had heard about the course and intended to play it for years. Finally took the time to do so with my son this past weekend. While the staff was friendly, the course wasn’t anywhere near as picturesque as I had heard. The layout was rather uninspiring. The tee boxes were a mess. The greens were quite nice and challenging, but, apparently nobody there thinks fixing a ball Mark is of any importance . There were craters everywhere. Finally, the play was horribly slow. to the tune of 5:15. We waited on every single shot all day. The rangers did nothing to move play along. They did volunteer to speak to the group behind us after they hit into us for the third time so that’s something I guess. I paid $230 for my son and I to play the round. Will not return. It could have, and should have, been so much better.

Course layout holes typography unreal....15 of 18 cool holes. Paid $80 to walk after 2pm July 28, 2023. $12 for large bucket range balls before round. Listen if I'm going to pay $92 bucks I expect the greens to be in WAY better condition. I can fix 6 to 8 ball marks PER GREEN AND PAY 40 OR 50 BUCKS....no beverage service on a sunny July day on a Friday..wtf makes sense...unreal....layout great greens bad.....look elsewhere,

The golf experience is overpriced and over rated.
-Tees in poor condition
- Sadly the course was designed for carts. Walking takes 6 miles with long gaps from greens to tees.
- And the cart paths are in dreadful condition - about time the high cart fees were used to repair them
- Practice ground is mats only - the grass being saved for the "important people"
- rangers do little or nothing - no discipline applied to "golfers" who dig up and fasil to replace divots.
- "dining" consists of a row of microwaved burgers for sale. (If you want 'medium -rare' come a week ago!!
- " Cart path only " on days when the course is 99% dry. - increases time for 18 holes to 4hrs 40.
Breakfast hill is a far superior operation.
