No Visit to Lincolnshire is complete without a drink or two at the Benbow.
It can be years without a visit and you always get a warm welcome from staff and customers.
We normally visit in summer month's, but whilst travelling in winter months we thought our journey wouldn't be complete without a visit.
Glad to see it open Friday Saturday Sundays til 7pm, unlike the rest of the village that seems to be closed.
This pub Nautical theme gave us the idea to our own pubshed back in the midlands 10 years ago.
I cannot recommend and tell everyone about this pub whilst we are travelling both in the UK and abroad.
Look forward to our next visit sometime soon.
Keep up the good work owners and staff, the place and the team are awesome. Thanks
Ps..
Added bonus still dog friendly Jan 2023.

Well where do i start, the staff could do with some training on general manners, very rude when we entered as we came across this pub whilst starting our holidays to be spoken too in an aggressive manner by the male staff member "the flags down you know!" I mean a hello would of been nice. We then ordered drinks and asked to sample another which seemed like to much trouble for the bar man. We got our drinks which were disappointing for the price as the beer was warm and the glass still had lipstick on. The toilets were not the most hygienic either. The guy was then very rude to a young girl who entered the pub to ask her dad where the toilets were to be shouted at by the barman to get out the bar area! I accept that places have no kids at the bar but this girl left sobbing clearly very upset and just feel there was no need for the aggressive tone he spoke to a young child! All in all avoid this establishment as there are plenty others pubs who would be grateful for your custom.
Tried to contact the establishment privately to leave constructive feedback but suprise suprise no reply.

A brilliant place to visit on your own or with friends or family. Dogs are welcome to with a dog bowl of water. You can sit and drink/ eat inside or sit outside on the Admiral Benbow boat. There are toilets here should you need them they are well-maintained but I have found soap dispensers empty and no bog roll but that is rare. The drink selection is soft drinks, spirits, larger, ales. Food is fresh made batches, snacks, cake etc. There is merchandise to purchase here to. To get here you walk along the coastal footpath a short distance from the town sea front.

This is a place to visit when in Chapel St Leonards, very dog friendly place, it has a fridge with chilled dog treats and freezer with frozen doggy ice cream, you can sit inside or outside in the "ship" on the beach, Great menu for us humans too, Staff always friendly and busy, try it you'll love it 😊

This pains me to have to say this in all honesty as every time we go to the coast for a walk we always pop in for a pint.
We did just this on Saturday... we went to sit in the outside area yo be in the sun bit it was heaving but 2 young boys of 9 years of age were sat at a table & it became clear to a member of staff that these boys were unattended ( the mother had left them on their own yo go & look at a caravan!!!)..
The boys were told to sit on the bench outside the pub entrance & wait for their mum... quite a length of time had passed & the boys were obviously restless & bored so were starting to mess about so wee shouted at to stay sat down a few times... more time passed & the boys went to try to go inside to go to the toilet but had no shoes on so were refused to be let in.. .a few minutes passed & obviously the boys were desperate so they urinated to yhe side of the building much to the discust of some obviously regulars as they called the owner by her name...
These customers proceeded to talk very loudly about these poor lads who had been left by the mother (inexcusable act I might add!!) To which the owner joined in & condoned the vehaviiur of these regulars.
They finally phoned the police & pretended to the police they had compassion for the boys who had been dumped by the unfit woman ...absolute disgusting behaviour by all parties & I shall never set foot in there again...
Think what those poor lads went through before adding more stress to their situation....
This situation was handled really poorly by the staff & owner.

Stayed I Chapel St Leonard's for two weeks In middle of September.
Glorious sunshine 🌞 throughout our stay.
Found this jewel in the Crown while walking along the 🌊 seafront
Excellent watering hole.
Edges for the real ale drinkers.
Ideal for just a cup of ☕ coffee too.
Ideal for dog 🐕 walkers alike.
Fantastic staff
Definitely Recommend

I love your pub
But could we please have a bit of background music for outside as this would definitely add to the atmosphere. it wouldn't be expensive to do...be especially nice with summer approaching well hopefully
