Me, my wife and our 12 year old son completed this in an hour or so. It is quite bad for parking so we parked in Austwick and walked up. Google maps will take you a crazy way so my advice would be to join the walk through a gate on the cross road (it is signposted saying Austwick 3/4 miles turn left). The gate to the easier path is just on the right hand side.
We climbed up a path which probably wasn't 100% safe in some places but was still fun.

This site is lovely for a walk around, although it is obviously rocky and hilly terrain so good walking boots are definitely a must.
We parked in a country road at the bottom of the hill they sit on and were able to walk through a gate that signposted the Norber erratics and up through a further gate to climb up the hillside to the rocks and boulders themselves.
The erratics are impressive and make great photos but the setting is also lovely on a sunny day for the scenery and even a picnic. A few other walkers were there but it was by no means busy. A really pleasant experience.

A short walk from Clapham takes you to the Norber Erratics, a truly amazing landscape. Formed in the Silurian period the rocks are about 430 million years old.
They form amazing shapes and you can see where the glaciers have cut into the stone on their journey to rest here.
You really can't help but stop and look at every one with all their individual shapes and the way they are perched on other rocks.
Well worth a visit for any age group.

Well worth the gentle climb and fantastic views. It was fascinating to see the geological history of this valley.

A brilliant little point of interest that you could easily spend half a day exploring every rock of. Its a short enough walk from Austwick and isnt a great incline. You can even stretch it out by heading up the valley or making a it a true adventure and setting off in the direction of Ingleborough

We visited 3 years ago and enjoyed ourselves as much as we did last time. But, some of the stones had moved or fallen and no longer visible- twas a little sad but they’re still as fabulous as ever! A real treat.

Lovely walk which can be done from the villages of Austwick or Clapham. The rock formations are amazing. We did the circular walk from Austwick returning via the route that takes you to Ingleborough Cave (another must see if in the area!). The walk is quite steep initially and involves a bit of scrambling through rocks but definitely worth it. There is a stile involved if you do the circular route which may be rather tricky to get over with dogs. Our dogs were okay as they are small but one to bear in mind. PS If you do have dogs please keep them on leads. Sheep randomly pop up from behind rocks everywhere :-)

Tripped over this feature when researching Clapham.
Probably shorter route from Austwick
If you are into Geography and have time definitely go see these rocks.
Check out details using wikipedia/Google.
Still trying to find out who or what Norber is...

Is it walkable from Settle

We often start the day at Clapham or Austwick and do a 4 to 5 mile walk, if you wanted to set off from Settle it’s pleasant over fields and rough track and can take in Oxeber Woods and Wharf, but it would add on another 4 miles each way so depends on how far you want to walk.
