Frank Teasley, his wife Liz, and his staff of mushers provided us with a once in a lifetime experience of the Bridger-Teton National Park by dog sled. Frank is an Iditarod racer and his main focus is racing and the care and breeding of his race dogs. Boy, are we fortunate that he is willing and able to share a glimpse of this awesome sport through his sled dog tours. He even provides you with boots for the ride. You can trust him when he tells you that his boots really are better than your boots! We are senior citizens, so opted for the 1/2 experience. Debo, our driver/guide, obviously cares deeply for the dogs under his responsiblity, and shared information on how the teams are structured and the personalities of the dogs on his team. After an hour's ride, we stopped for a delicious lunch of Liz's chili, cornbread and hot drinks before heading back. Highly recommend this experience.

AMAZING!!!
This dog mushing trip is excellent!
…Comes complete with a dog mushing experience (20 miles round trip; @ 2 hours each way) with too die for views of Gros Ventre Wilderness and Bridger Teton National Park; an hour to soak in the warmth at Granite Hot Springs; hot chili and drinks for lunch; the opportunity to interact with dog athletes; and the chance to stand behind the sled on the trip to help guide the dogs.
The guides are friendly and down to earth. The mushers make lunch for you while you are enjoying the Hot Springs. They seem to truly care about the dogs’ health and wellbeing… in fact our guide Michael has adopted 2 of the retired dogs so far. He was so patient and like a Dad who has to remind his children to behave.
The company provides you with boots to wear so you can keep your own boots dry. The employees explain things and make you feel welcome and comfortable. They teach you what to do and how to help guide the sled dogs. They have a great sense of humor….probably trying to compete with Frank’s famous jokes.
The company hires a cab/shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off at your hotel… be on time so everyone has the opportunity for the full day’s itinerary. .
The dogs are just simply THE BEST!
They want to run. They enjoy human interaction and seem to be a big furry family completely with leaders, followers and all sorts of characters.
The company has thought about your needs and the needs of the dogs. This company is run by people who are still involved in the dog racing world. They understand dog nutrition, racing/running, psychology and wellness.
This is the longest dog mushing trip we’ve ever been on and admittedly it is well worth it. The overall experience is something you won’t forget or regret.
Take advantage of the stunning views, the dog athletes and the chance to help guide the sleds.
Thank you for a wonderful trip…a day we won’t soon forget!!

Been planning this trip for years...This was an AMAZING adventure!! Kye, our guide was top notch! He took tons of photos/videos for us to remember it all. The dogs were wonderful! We had the COLDEST day of the year; it was negative -22 degrees the day we were out there. We had layers and layers plus hand/footwarmers but still brutally cold. My husband mushed with the guide most of the day, but I got to mush for about 30 minutes to get my feel of it. Breathtaking views, I will NEVER forget!! Frank the owner is top notch as well, VERY knowledgeable! If you're on the fence.... GO FOR IT!!! You won't regret it! We did the stop with the Granite Springs, negative -22 outside and 112 degrees in hot springs...a moment I will never forget! Worth every penny! We were sure to tip the guide too, he worked so hard keeping the dogs in order and showing us amazing areas on the trails.

Frank has an amazing group of mushers. We had a fantastic time. We were told when to help slow down the dogs. Our guide, Debo, was fantastic with his dogs with Praising and giving treats. You could tell he care for his babies. The Granite Hot springs was awesome. 100 degree and certain areas it was 110. Lizzy, Franks wife, made an amazing lunch. If u are on the edge about it you will miss out. Thanks so much Deno. You were fun and awesome. 👏 Thanks Frank. Good luck on your race.

We had heard how phenomenal this experience is. It was even more. The owner Frank is so knowledgeable and personable. Also a keen and very dry sense of humor! Julie was our guide, musher and instructor for the times we piloted the sled. She was great! The dogs? Friendly, smart and LOVE to run!Take the full day tour if you can. The Granite Hot Springs are beautiful and a true delight to enjoy with snow all around. The lunch is yummy and plentiful. Liz can accommodate all diets - just ask like we did. This was the absolute BEST part of our trip and one of our top 3 excursions ever! (The other 2 were not in North America.) You really do not want to miss this opportunity!

The BEST CHRISTMAS DAY SURPRISE for my FAMILY EVER!!!! Thanks to Tara at The Wort Hotel, she connected me with Frank and his incredible staff at JH Iditarod Sled Dog Tours! It's the REAL Deal and you are actually with the real life Iditarod dogs and mushers themselves!!!! The 10 mile ADVENTURE sled through the majestic Bridger-Teton National Park was breathtaking, fun, exhilarating and safe because of our amazing mushers who adore these dogs! Soaking in the Granite Natural Hot Springs was the cherry on top! We love this outfit because they explained the real life of these amazing dogs and personal stories of working with amazing JH Iditarod Sled Team! Hats off to wonderful Frank and Lizzie and their son....we will do it AGAIN!!!!!!

STAY AWAY!!! Absolutely terrible experience with this dog sledding establishment, a nightmare from start to finish! Misrepresentation, Negligence and Emotional Distress! KEEP YOUR FAMILY AWAY! Exceptionally rude, forgetful, mean owner/operator with all the signs of onset dementia. Horrible communication skills, paid for the experience 2 months in advance, started the trip off by the company forgetting to pick us up at our hotel, (1 hour 20 minutes late) we tried calling multiple times that morning to confirm pick up with no answer. Once picked up found out we had to drive across town to retrieve 3 other parties who had also been forgotten at their hotels. Once we arrived several women requested to use the bathroom, the owner told them to shut their mouths, sit down and they could go once they were briefed, signed waivers, and handed out his "special boots." Once transportation left, the boots were put on and everyone had signed the waiver we were informed we owed double what we had already paid to experience the trip. Each group of people were charged differently, a family of 5 $1,100, a man and wife couple $750, my family of 3 $1,600. We were told this was due to the dogs being feed special food, due to the weather they would need to use larger sleds and add more dogs, this was a lie because by looking out the window we could see both regular sized sleds, with one tied behind the other utilizing one group of dogs to pull both sleds carrying my family of 3. We were then told the year had been hard with little snow and slow bookings, thus the reason for the pricing. When I booked in December, I paid $800 / $400 per sled and told it was for two sleds, each with its own set of dogs and a guide. The owner wanted $1,600 for a dog sled ride!?? I would have never booked the trip, a total scam! I asked for my $800 back I paid in December and told NO! Prices are not listed on the company website, I was misled to believe I’d paid in full until I arrived, dropped off in the middle of nowhere with no way to get back to town. When we told them we wouldn't pay any more money the owner started yelling at us and walked out the building with the phone in his hand so we couldn’t call for help, we sat the office with no one around for over an hour waiting to use the phone so we could call our hotel to come pick us up. We were stranded, in a somewhat dangerous situation and finally got one of the staff to retrieve the phone so we could call taxi to come pick us up. The taxi cost $120.00 to get us back to Jackson Hole. After the experience I learned from several locals the business has had high turnover in staff, the owner has had “health problems / Alcoholic" lost its accreditation with Disney Vacation Club winter experiences and all food for the dogs is donated by Purina for free. This man ruined my daughter’s 16th birthday and to say I was beyond upset is an understatement. I've contacting Jackson Hole’s (BBB), Consumer Protection, Disney Vacation Club and Purina Dog Food and posting on Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc. so no one else has the same experience we received.

We did the full tour to Granite Hot Springs. We were lucky that the area had received a record amount of snow fall just prior to our tour and the day was beautiful and sunny! Our musher Julie was professional, excellent and seemed to have a great rapport with the sled dogs. Would suggest before the tour started to have someone provide a brief overview of the operation. For example how many dogs live there, how long has the kennel been in business, do the dogs race, what and how much do they eat, etc. Also a brief overview of how the day would work would have been helpful. For example, how long does it typically take to get to the hot springs, how will lunch work, etc. Instead the owner who was quite grouchy simply had us a sign a waiver, issued us our boots and told us where the bathrooms were. Once we reached the hot springs we were told we would have approximately 45 minutes to spend in the hot springs and then we would be called out of the hot spring to change and then go to the lunch camp which was close by. Somehow we missed our call to get out of the hot spring, change and go to the lunch area. It turns out another musher made the call to get out of the hot spring and she may have thought my husband and I were not part of the group. There was also a group of people who came by snowmobile in the group so maybe she thought we were part of that group. Then we noticed everyone in our group was gone so we thought we had better change and find the lunch place. By the time we arrived at the lunch camp they were already packing things up and had put some things away like the corn muffins. My husband and I had literally 5 minutes to eat our chili. However the chili was very hot so by the time it cooled down we had about 3 minutes to eat as they were putting things away and folding up the picnic tables around us. This tour cost nearly $500 per person so it was very disappointing that we pretty much missed the lunch due to lack of communication on the staff's part. This operation has a beautiful location, close proximity to the hot springs and beautiful dogs. It's a shame our tour was not better managed. If you go on this tour would suggest only spending 10 minutes in the hot spring and then change and immediately go to the lunch camp so you actually get to enjoy it.
