It was a beautiful experience. The beach is a paradise for swimming. Kayak through lagoon also the best. All of us really like the tour.

We took the luxury bus tour of about 8 people. A 2 1/2 hour bus ride landed at the lower part of the bay They skip swimming off the boat and a 2 nd fishing village. More on the water no island land tour caverns or beach. just kayak in the water caves. Just be cautious of many different tour guides with pricing and tours of the same company . I spoke to someone who took *Arcadia* with island tour, biking, some military history, swimming .....

Wonderful – the most suitable word in order to describe my feeling with Cat Ba Island. In 3-day-2night in Cat Ba Island, me and 2 other friends could understand what relax really means. Throwing stress away, in there, we enjoyed beach, sky, landscape, especially fresh feeling which we have never ever found in somewhere else. Besides, we could enjoy seafood, and you know what, it’s still alive, fresh and cheap. We could choose each single one personally and after that, local villagers would do it directly in front of us. The taste, of course, it was totally different from the one which we have in city. You have to be there to know what I mean. It was really tasty. I really want to bring some stuff home but unfortunately, it can’t be, so disappointed. However, we found some interesting thing in market. Souvenir in there was unique, so I bought a lot for my family so they would not ask me about seafood :)
This tour really treated my soul. After being busy with daily-life, Cat Ba Island is completely wonderful place for us. Cat Ba Island - I will go for you again!

Even in the rubbishy weather, we had a great time! The captain and crew were really friendly (as were the people on the tour). We were met with a cup of Vietnamese tea and then headed up to the top deck to start our tour. Our guide Dave told us about the fishing villages and some of the islands we passed. It got pretty windy so headed back inside before stopping off at a fisherman’s home to see their enormous lucky fish! At this point we were meant to kayak but the wind was too strong. The views were absolutely incredible and we were surprised by how few tour boats were on our route. We stopped for lunch prepared by the captain’s wife - more than enough for all of us and plenty of tasty dishes to choose from. Beers, tea and coffee were available throughout the day (drank lots of tea as it was so cold!) and we paid for these at the end. After lunch it brightened up a bit so we got to kayak! Grateful to Dave for his advice - went with a more experience kayaker instead of my friend. This was definitely needed as one part of the route was really tough - very strong current against us. Lots of people from different tours were struggling. We all had life jackets but some other tours didn’t hand them out. A girl from one of these got into trouble and Dave stayed behind to help her out. Would highly recommend this day tour. We hadn’t enjoyed Cat Ba until this!

We booked af 2 day 1 night tour at this company. Everything worked perfectly. The rooms on the boat where amazing. The food was incredible, and the best part where the staff and especially the guides. We had 2 different guides. Both English talking and very open and friendly.

I just had a two-day trip with my friends to Cat Ba island, which was a ton of fun and we all agreed that there couldn't be a better place to get your feet wet.
Cat Ba is an island filled with mysteries and undoubtedly, far more beautiful than what you could have imagined. At first, we worried a bit because we had to much to see in just 2 days but thank god, we all can ride motorbike :)) So we jumped into hiring 2 motorbikes (which was only less than 5USD per day) and began our most fantastic adventure ever. This maybe the best way to explore the island in my opinion.
The beaches of Cat Ba are tiny and hidden behind the hills, however soft white sand and jade water all make up for that. This is not the high season so we could have chance to discover the surprisingly gorgeous scenery. Quiet and stunning, we couldn't expect more.
The next destination was a historical place called Hospital cave, which is a concrete structure built and used during the war. Precisely, it is a hospital within a cave. A bit of creep but a ton of impression I must say.
The fabulous Cat Ba National Park is a must if you want some thrill (or even not). I myself felt like being in the Jurassic Park. You can do the hikes offered by travel agencies or explore on your own some other well-marked trails with negligible admission. It was hot and humid, the bees followed us all the way, the rugged path and the jungle sounds couldn't be more realistic. The part I loved most was bushwalking, which gave me a feeling like I was Robinson Crusoe or so.
Our experience with the locals was extraordinary. You will be surprised to hear that there is a community of people living on boats. Always being mobile, they are really one of the secrets of Cat Ba island. People there have the most genuine smile and couldn't be sweeter. You can always find help there so don't hesitate to ask.
Last but not least, we did a food tour and it was definitely a precious experience. I was in love with spring rolls, mantis shrimp and hot pot as well. There is a market where you can buy fruits and a huge variety of fresh seafood and the price is quite reasonable.
We did have great days and now we're planning for the next trip there. A longer trip with our families and that would be great I'm sure.

I heard my friend told Cat Ba Island is most visited tourist destination in Vietnam with a picturesque view of gorgeous mountain landscapes. and I lucky when went to Cat Ba Island with my friends in 2 years ago. That's really great trip. We Had 3 day 2 night at Cat Ba Island. first day I rented the bike and the vehicle electric which helped me discover around the Island and played the game with the motorbike water . Moreover The one thing I didn't miss when visited Cat Ba that's The seafood. they sell seafoods aren't too expensive, and it's really delicious. at night after dinner, I went to the Bar drank alcohol with my friend, The next day. I spent the time to relax in the morning, in the afternoon I had a wonderful time at The monkey Island such as swimming, Rowing, took photos. the next day I came back the city. the environment on the island actually wild and I felt more comfortable after the trip.

A day hissing Cat Ba Pearl Island- Lan Ha Bay to discover how nature favour this land? The white sandy, deep blue sea, sunshine, green island…all created the gigantic picture that poetic, spectacular to astonished. This journey accumulated a lot of beautiful memories... It is a very beautiful, sleepy fishing island. Cat Ba town is situated right by the sea and is the main tourist area of the island. .On arrival in Cat Ba with a welcome drink, introduction and a briefing about the cruise and facilities.I took a short trip to Cat Ba and definitely worth it. New experiences, discover new things about the people, the culture Vietnamese culture, a lot of fun. Escaping from the busy work to go to Cat Ba sandy beach to experience new unique feeling and very sweet moment once lying on the smooth sandy beach, sipping a cup of a cocktail, the shining sun. Sailing to discover Lan Ha Bay, surfing or diving to see the world of colourful coral and raise my voice with songs and dancing around the campfire to celebrate beach party with my love one and friends.If you want to find some peaceful, beautiful places I think Cat Ba is one of the best destination.

I had chance to comeback to this beautiful island in this June. I and my friends went by ourselves. The trip just last for 1 day because we had to solve some problems at home. Despite of that, what we got from this was so precious. We left city center in the early morning to get here. Wow! The fresh air in the morning makes me be enchanted. It was very different from the city. The first thing that I had to do was going to the beach. Honestly, beach of Cat Ba Island is very wonderful. I think that if we had had more time, we would have discovered more about the beach of this place. Cat Co 1 where we came was very crowded. The weather of June is very hot, so this is very reasonable. Next time, I will come to Cat Co 3. I heard that it's not as crowded as Cat Co 1. So going to this can help me see the scenery more. The next thing that makes me be attractive to Cat Ba is its food. When you come to an island or a beach, seafood is what you have to try. On this island, it's very fresh. I think that this is almost the only place for me to taste the fresh food. It's not the thing which I could have in the restaurant. And the price was not too expensive. Maybe it was more cheaper than what I had eaten in some restaurants. In the afternoon, we visited Cat Ba National Park, home of White- Headed Langur, the rarest langur in the world, and hundreds of kinds of animals. If you can climb to the top of this park, you will be shocked by its impressive view, Those were what I got after this trip because of limited time. But I'm sure that I come here again in the future. And at that time, there may be many changes of this island which make me to find out and love it more.

Après voir fait plusieurs agences, nous avons donc réservé un trip sur deux jours avec nuitée sur une maison flottante dans un village de pêcheur avec l'agence Cat Ba Tours (située à côté de l'hôtel Full Moon).
Si nous n'avions pas passé un moment inoubliable chez Xinh Floating House, je ne recommanderai pas forcément cette agence.
Tout d'abord nous avons commencé notre trip sur un bateau avec une trentaine d'autres passagers (qui avait booké à la journée) : balade puis kayaking le long des pains de sucre, arrêt snorkeling pour ne voir aucun poisson ! Puis on nous a déposé dans le village de pêcheur.
Le lendemain on est venu nous chercher pour visiter la monkey island qui n'a absolument rien d'attrayant : miniplage, très peu de singe voir aucun ... et retour avant 12h00 alors que nous devions rentrer en milieu d'après-midi.
Nous nous sommes plaints auprès du gérant, qui après avoir fait acte de mauvaise foi nous a finalement offert nos billets pour rejoindre notre prochain stop.
