          I can't seem to post my review... Pls help. Worst hotel ever! Faulty air conditioning, smelly pillows, putting asthmatic patients in smoking rooms, inefficient service, and so much more! I don't even know where to begin to describe our nightmare when we stayed in your hotel. Checked into your hotel with my family. Upon check-in, we found both rooms that we checked in to be very hot. We were informed that this was because the AC unit was just turned on. Also found the bath tub to be dirty. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, your hotel informed us that it would be cleaned. As a hotel, it was your responsibility to make sure that before you escort your guests to the room, the room is ready, at the very least cool, and most of all, CLEAN. We left the hotel to eat out, giving the room time to cool. Came back 3 hours later to find the rooms still hot (your lobby was cooler, though the lobby was hot and humid as well). Decided to have the kids go for a swim to again give time for the room to become cooler and for it to be cleaned. While my kids and husband were in the pool, instead of enjoying my time with my family, I went back to the room to have maintenance and housekeeping check our room. Maintenance arrived and checked the aircon, which took an hour, then told me that the aircon was broken. A passing personnel then informed us that a lot of your rooms had clogged up and broken aircons, and "swerte na lang daw ang makakuha ng room na maayos ang aircon". I checked the bathtub. Still dirty. I put the shower on full blast, and some of the dirt came off. So if I could wash off the bathtub with just running water, why couldn't your hotel clean it? By this time, majority of my day was already eaten up by your hotels inability to deliver service and proper accommodations, which may I say are the two very reasons why people check in to hotels in the first place. I called front desk and ask the problem be addressed. Your hotel then informed me that you would transfer the occupants of one room (the one with the broken AC), into another room, but that we would have to leave the occupants of the other room in their original room, even if your front desk was repeatedly informed that the occupants in the other room were tender age kids, our children. You were expecting me to leave my kids, one of which was celebrating his 2nd year birthday that day, in a different room, of a different floor. You told me you didn't know. How could you not know when I informed your desk several times? After again, quite some time, you volunteered to transfer our entire party of 2 adjoining rooms to a one bedroom room, knowing fully well that we wouldn't fit in that room. We were a total of 3 adults, one teenager, one child, and one toddler. You knew that and you were offering to transfer us to a room with one queen sized bed. Again, you made us wait in the hot room with the dirty bathtub, after which you transferred us to a 2 bedroom room which would fit us all. When we got to the room, I realized you transferred us to a smoking floor, in a smoking room, when, again, I told your repeatedly that our family, save for my husband, was asthmatic! Five minutes into the room, I was already having an asthma attack. How could you do your customers such a disservice?! I called your attention to this, after which you stated that you would transfer us to the presidential suite, but that we would need to cover the cost. Either that or we could check out but that you'd have to charge us because we already enjoyed your facilities. So for your mistake of booking us in a room with a broken AC unit and a dirty bath tub, your solution was to either book us in a room where we for sure won't fit, or in a smoking room knowing fully well that we were asthmatics as I put it on record, or to book us in a room where you would have us foot the bill, it being the most expensive room you have. My husband and I finally went down to the front desk to discuss the matter. Guests beside us were horrified at what they were hearing. Only then did you offer to give the presidential suite for free. We tried settling the matter in private - a courtesy we tried to give with much patience, but you just were so difficult to compromise with. We went to see the suite, only to find that all your function chairs and tables were dumped there. So you expected my kids to stay in the suite with chairs stacked up in the middle of the suite knowing fully well that these could very well be safety hazards. You then said that you had no other room to offer, but that if we stay in our current smoking room, you'd give us air ionizers. Having no other choice as it was already quite late, we opted for this. You failed to inform us that the air ionizer shuts down every 15 minutes! So for the entire night, my husband and I had to take turns turing the ionizer on just so our family wouldn't get asthma attacks, only for your air conditioning unit to break down middle of the night! The following day, upon check out, there was a long line in your front desk. I greeted your personnel, only for her to avoid us - possibly because she didnt want to ask how we were because she wanted to keep a lid on the situation because other guests could hear. The least you could have done was ask how we were - though I was obviously having an attack already while checking out. Middle of the night we had to change the clothes of our kids just to help them not sweat! We went here to celebrate our baby's birthday. Amidst all the stress and difficulty we had to endure in the horror that you call your hotel, we weren't able to blow out his birthday candle, or to have some semblance to a celebration. To think we were very patient the entire day, undeservingly apologetic even for following up our concern, and thankful for attending to us. I didn't really want to complain and was trying to avoid it at all cost. You, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, do not even deserve half a star. If I so much as find that you have deleted this post, I will take this up with every media personnel I know!!! Horrible, unhealthy, experience you gave us. People check in your place to spend some quality time, to relax, to enjoy hard-earned money, trusting people in your service have good hearts, trusting your facilities to deliver. We checked in your hotel healthy, and now only one member of our entire travelling party is not sick. I forgot to mention that one of your pillows was sweaty and smelled real bad. HANEP KAYO.
