My family and I had a 3 night stay in one of the cottages and we were pleasantly surprised. Yes it was a little outdated but it was clean and perfect for our family of 4. There was a bedroom and pull out couch. Also, there was a bathroom, kitchen and cable. Dorothy and Dennis were very nice and made sure we had everything for our stay. Our friends had campsites a short walk away and the sites were nice as well. I wouldn’t hesitate going back.

Upon check there was a very large animal on the non-handicap front porch. It turned out to be a cat that insisted on rubbing on your legs while you waited for the owners, Dennis and Dorothy to answer the door. Check in was extremely dirty, smelly and pet infested not to mention all of the hair on everything. The campsite was covered in pine needles and leaves about 3-4 inches thick. We cleaned the site with a rake that I found. We had to find our own fire ring and picnic table. We were told to not bring fire wood due to bug migration and that they would have wood for sale. Dennis told us he didn't have much chopped so we took about 10 pieces. There was a dead carcass of an animal with its intestines hanging out just outside of the womens bathroom that the cats were eating when I went to use the facilities. It was there all weekend! The bathrooms were outdated with mold on the ceiling and a fist sized hole in the ceiling above the women's shower stall. There was only one working soap dispenser with extremely watered down soap that smelled awful. There was never paper towel. There are signs to keep the lights off (to keep costs down) when not in use and to keep the door latched. I was peeked in on by Dorothy and rudely told to turn off the lights when I left. I told her I was taking a shower to go to the pool and she told me the pool was closed and shut the door in my face. I believe the owners use the bathrooms for their personal use because they have a door that adjoins their living area to the restrooms. It's just creepy. The owners living quarters are above the bathrooms so it's very unsettling to hear them walking around, talking, TV, etc.. when you are doing your personal business. The pool has no set hours so when Dorothy lets you use the pool is when you can use the pool. Which she told me herself. There is a combination lock on the door to the pool that is only accessible through the bathroom. My boys told me that Dorothy inspected them prior to entering the pool to make sure they took a shower. My husband said that Dorothy peeked in while he was doing his business in the bathroom. I asked four times to use the pool and was denied all but once and that was from Dennis. The whirl pool tub was broke and unfilled. We were told that our boys could access the four wheeling trails directly from the campground and that was untrue because they had to ride on county roads to get to the trails. Our dog got terribly sick and would not eat. I believe it was from the water that came out of the spigot at the campsite. He chirped up on the last day after having him only drink bottled water for the duration of the rest of our stay. Dennis asked if we would return to the campground later in the year and I told Dennis that his wife has a lot to learn about hospitality and customer service. He told me that was unlike her. I also told him that I did not appreciate all of the micromanagement at the bathrooms, pools etc. and that I was on vacation paying for the services that were advertised. I have no idea why anyone would ever stay here. I hope this was helpful.
