Interacción con los huéspedes: Estamos por lo general en la ciudad, además de que vivimos en el mismo edificio. Por lo tanto, será fácil conocer y (¿quién sabe ?!) pasar algún tiempo juntos! Siempre vamos a dar algunos buenos consejos sobre qué ver / dónde comer!

Wonderful studio apartment
Super clean modern apartment. 10 min. Walking distance to Ortigia. I was able to use the bike on a couple occasions. Wasn't able to meet owner because of being in hospital but he was always ready to help or answer questions on the phone. We had a very comfertable 5 days stay. Was close to stores,market and restaurants. If we come back to Siracuse we would definitely rent apartment again.

Beyond the Call of Duty!
Our recent holiday in Siracusa came to an abrupt end when I was taken to hospital by ambulance. This after just a few days in Marco’s beautiful – superbright – studio, kitted out with all the amenities, comfortable beds, laundry facilities, nearby shops, and marvellous French doors that bathed everything in sunshine.
My husband and I were enjoying ourselves immensely, walking daily to the historic island of Ortigia, with its delightful cafes and restaurants, its narrow streets and piazzas; driving to Noto, first to the ruins of the original town destroyed in the earthquake of 1693, and then to its magnificent successor, with its architectural splendours. Suddenly, and with no warning, I wound up in the emergency room of Umberto Primo. It was at that point that Marco truly came into his own, sending his mother and sister to make sure we were coping, while he was otherwise critically engaged; and later sending a friend fluent in English to help us through the complicated medical system.
Marco’s caring support resembled that of a friend: he checked in with us for each of the following three days as well, and made arrangements for us to use the flat in order to regroup, despite the fact that our time was up and his next guests were soon to arrive. His warmth and attention made all the difference.
We can’t recommend both the flat and Marco highly enough.

Wonderful option for staying in Syracuse
We liked the look of this apartment on line and we loved it when we got there. It is in a great location in terms of walking access to the key parts of the city. (Ortigia is a five/ten minute walk in one direction and the archeological park the same in the other direction.) The bus and train station are also only about 5/10 minute walk. It is really simple to get the 'interbus' from just outside Catania airport all the way to Syracuse. You can get off at Gelone50 which is really close to the apartment. It's one stop before the bus terminal. If you miss that you just carry on to the terminal and then it's only a short walk. It cost about £4 each way. When you get to the road on which the apartment is situated, keep walking through the small piazza past Bar Girasole to find No 5. It's a bit confusing as the properties in the piazza have their own numbers. The door is next to something called Cash Cafe. We thought it looked as if it might be noisy but it wasn't at all. The top bell is Marco's. The apartment is not in one of the real tourist areas which we liked; you feel as if you are seeing Syracuse as a place where people live and work and not just a tourist destination. Some people might find it a bit noisy when both French windows are open but it didn't bother us at all. The apartment was spotlessly clean.
Having said all of that, the best thing about this rental is the owner Marco who gets 11 out of 10 for customer service! He could not have done more to make our stay happy, relaxing and successful. He had put bottled water and ground coffee in the fridge for us and gave us some maps of the city. He spent time explaining what is worth doing and where it is good to eat. Follow his recommendations; he knows what he is talking about! He made it very clear that we should ask for anything we needed help with. We asked if we could have extra pillows and they appeared straight away. We asked him about medical centres as we needed an infected finger looking at. He took us to a doctor a few miles away that he knew we could trust and who worked on Saturdays. He acted as an interpreter and the finger is now better! Throughout the week Marco checked that we were ok and didn't need anything. Half way through the week he brought us fresh towels and on the day we left he took us to the bus station and made sure we got on the right bus to the airport. Thank you Marco for everything!
By the way, Bar Girasole sells great snacks, beer, coffee etc. And is really cheap. Well worth a visit or two.

Good base to explore Siracusa
Good and clean accomodation,facilities enable you do a nice cooking with fresh food from great market in Ortigia. Bycicles make it easy for us to explore the beautiful island.and the hospitality of Marco made our stay here perfect. Highly recommended for travellers in Siracusa.

Highly recommended
Everything as per description. Marco was the perfect host and always available when needed.The pizzeria and gelato across the road are also highly recommended. the bikes supplied by Marco were a great help to get around although everything was within walking distance. Thank you Marco for a very pleasant vacation :)

Our expectations were exceeded by far!!!
We (two girls from Germany) stayed with Igne and Marco for 10 days!
We found the apartment just as described: A very bright, excellently tidy and very cozy place. The old town of Siracusa, Ortigia, is not far: a nice 10-minute stroll takes you here. To the archeological park and other sights (depending on where you’d like to go) you need not more than 15, max. 20 minutes of walking. A pharmacy, grocery shopping, Patisseries and other shops are within 3-5 minute range.
When we arrived, our expectations were exceeded by far when we noticed with what care and devotion our hosts Igne and Marco not only keep the apartment but also welcomed us as their guests. Both provided us with valuable tips (where to go, what to see, where to eat) for Siracusa and around. That way we got to know Siracusa and its environment from a perspective we would probably not have gotten otherwise. Igne and Marco are very attentive (we had clean towels, new bedding without having to ask for it) and helpful.
We highly recommend this lovely apartment and easy-going company and we’d definitely love to come back.

Modern and bright
very convient to all amenities, sites etc. very modern and clean. owner Marco very nice living on premises is available for information etc. I recommended to him that he supply a kettle, wine glasses, an iron. Everything else there.

Comfortable studio, full of light. Highly recommended!
Me and my wife spent a few days here. Marco is a great host, always there to help and point out some interesting places in Siracusa. The studio is modern, clean and bright. Just around the corner you can find a bar and small shops. Ortigia is within 7 minutes walk distance - so you can go there every day and enjoy lively streets, but you stay in less touristic area. If you search for a cosy appartment, this is the place!

Syracuse-stunning, our hosts- fantastic, now people we call friends!
We arrived in Syracuse expecting to see a beautiful town and it didn't disappoint. An absolutely stunning part of Sicily, my favourite place having traveled throughout Sicily ( Trapani, Palermo, Igadi Islands, Ragusa Ibla & Agrigento).
Why did we enjoy Syracuse & Ortegia so much?
It's a beautiful place but a major factor was the hospitality afforded to us by our hosts. The accommodation was pristine! Their friendliness & suggestions for places to visit greatly enhanced our experience. Really lovely people. Really lovely place.

A fantastic well appointed apartment and welcoming host
A superb well appointed apartment, a great location and a truly excellent host in Marco who provided lot's of information on arrival, follow up recommendations and was readily available. We wish we could have stayed longer.
