The living room of Eagle Cottage is complete with comfortable armchairs, behind large panes of glass, directly viewing a most picturesque corner of the River Bure in Horning. Rated by VisitBritain's National Accessible Scheme (NAS) as suitable for: older and less mobile guests. Of course - we welcome family groups who are all physically fit too! Eagle Cottage is wheelchair friendly with ramps and extra wide doors throughout the ground floor. The accommodation comprises of a spacious lounge/dining area, with Freeview TV, DVD player and Free WIFI, a modern well fitted kitchen, ground floor bathroom with bath with overhead shower, toilet and hand-basin, a separate toilet cloakroom with hand-basin and ground floor large king size twin bedroom. An additional double bedroom and single bedroom is upstairs with the door leading off from the landing to the spacious sun terrace balcony. A self contained Annexe (only available with holidays starting from Easter) with two further bedrooms, one king size with en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and hand-basin and one twin bedroom with en-suite floor-level shower with hand-rail, toilet and hand-basin. Garden furniture includes two sun loungers, two garden benches, a selection of metal chairs (upright back support), and an outdoor/picnic bench with separate, movable benches to match. The river frontage provides an ideal location for course fishing (licence from The Environment Agency required). Closed season runs from 15 March to 15 June. All prices include Electricity and Heating. Available to borrow, free of charge (pre-booking advisable due to limited availability): Disability Wheelchairs, Shower Chairs, Commode Chairs, Commodes, Raised Toilet Seats, Toilet Frame with Handlebars, Zimmer Frames, Bed Block Raisers.Más

There is deep water adjacent to the property (buoyancy aids available). Paths & wooden walk-ways can be slippery when wet. Land shrinkage may cause uneven ground & tripping hazards. The access road is liable to flooding in extreme conditions. Relocation of vehicles may be needed. No consumption or use of illegal substances inside the property or grounds. Social gatherings that cause a disturbance to neighbouring guests are not permitted. No Pets. Boats may not be moored without prior permission

Horning on the Norfolk Broads lies to the north, east east of Norwich. The Broads consists of thirty calm, shallow lakes, interlinked by a series of rivers and man-made dyes to form around 200 miles of navigable waterways in peaceful countryside.

The Clubhouse (meals & specials menu, with licensed bar including takeout) can be found 2 minutes walk down the road. The Ferry Pub, riveside, serving food can also be found here. Shops can be found by walking through the pretty village of Horning, about 15 minutes walk or two minutes by car. A car is recommended for travel further afield.
