In a distance of 200m you can find the small square of Therma with its traditional cafes, restaurants and confectioneries.The beach is just under the square and it is divided by a small marina into the sandy and the pebble side. It is easily accessible and especially friendly to kids. Ikaria is well known since the antiquity for its radioactive springs. The exceptional therapeutic properties of the Ikarian hot springs are well known world widely as researches have also proven that many of these springs are unique in the world. The SPA facilities have been recently renovated and are easily accessible for everyone; targeting special patient groups of rheumatism, arthritis, spondyloarthritis, arthralgias, coxalgias, myalgia, chronic sterilities and insufficiencies. In 2km distance you can find the capital city of Ikaria, Agios Kirikos. Evdilos is 40km from Agios Kirikos, Raches is 50km from Agios Kirikos and Armenistis is 42. Don't get tricked, the distances might seem short but the scenery is very rocky as a result for the roads to be full of curves and U turns. You can't speed up more 40km/h. It's safe to drive around but always keep on the right and max speed up to 40km/h. ;) Transportation to Therma Therma is only 2km away from Agios Kirikos, the capital city of the island. The connection between Agios Kirikos and Therma is quite frequent by a local bus or if you prefer a sea scenery you can use the traditional and idyllic local boat. From the airport you can take a taxi but a bus might also be available from time to time (depending on the season). From Evdilos, the estimated time to reach Therma is 45 minutes. Evdilos is connected to Agios Kirikos by a local bus every morning but If you arrive by night, the only mean of transportation to get to Therma is by taxi (unless you rent a car).
